OPPO F33 series confirmed to feature IP69K rating and military grade build: check all details here

Launching on April 15th in India, OPPO has today confirmed that the OPPO F33 series will be IP69K-certified for protection against high-pressure, high-temperature water sources. The upcoming series is expected to include the OPPO F33 Pro and OPPO F33. Both smartphones will feature a robust military-grade build designed to withstand everyday drops and bumps. Along with these, here are some more details we know so far about the OPPO F33 series:

OPPO F33 series heavily emphasises strong build durability and battery endurance

As noted in the intro, the OPPO F33 series will be IP69K certified, which is considered to be a top-tier certification for withstanding damage against water and dust. Previously, we saw the OnePlus 15, OnePlus 15R, and even the recently released POCO X8 Pro Max feature an IP69K rating. OPPO details that with this particular rating, the F33 series can survive high-pressure washing, like a car wash gun or industrial cleaning. This makes the phones suitable for people who work in tough environments, construction, outdoors, farms, or just want maximum durability.

Furthermore, the IP69K rating goes beyond IP68/68 as it adds strong protection against forceful water jets and hot water cleaning. Apart from that, the phones will feature an aerospace-grade AM04 aluminium alloy frame, reinforced with collision beams to strengthen the overall structure. The frame is paired with a thickened AGC DT-STAR D+ screen protection. Within the frame, there’s an “airbag” cushioning system that uses foam and silicone pads to absorb impact and protect key components like the camera, speakers, and battery.

A 7,000mAh battery will power the phones, supported by 80W SuperVOOC Flash charging. OPPO claims that the battery will be able to retain 80 percent of its capacity after 1,830 full charge cycles, which is equivalent to five full years of daily use. The battery also gets self-repairing electrolyte technology that will help in recovering cell health between charge cycles.

What else do we know about the OPPO F33 series

In an earlier teaser, OPPO has confirmed that the OPPO F33 Pro will pack a 50MP ultra-wide front camera with a 100-degree field of view. The viewfinder will feature a 0.6x zoom option to gather more people in the frame, making it suitable for group selfies. On the back, both phones could get a 50MP primary shooter, while AI imaging features like AI Groupfie Expert, AI Portrait Glow, along with Dual-View Video, and a Colourful Front Fill Light are confirmed to be in tow.

Previous leaks have pointed out that the OPPO F33 Pro will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Max SoC, which appears to be a slightly enhanced version of the Dimensity 6300. Just a few days ago, Realme launched the Realme 16 5G powered by the Dimensity 6400 Turbo at Rs 31,999. This price positions it directly in the same segment as the upcoming OPPO F33 Pro, as leaks indicate a sub-Rs 35,000 price. Also, just like previous OPPO F series phones, the F33 series is likely to be positioned as an offering mainly for offline channels. Colour options of the F33 Pro include Misty Forest, Starry Blue, and Passion Red.
