The OPPO Find X10 serves as the entry point to the company’s latest flagship lineup. The handset sits below the OPPO Find X10 Pro Max, an ultra-premium offering packed with bells and whistles. The vanilla OPPO Find X10 shares quite a few traits with the Pro Max model, with 200MP primary and telephoto cameras, a 50MP front camera, an 8,000mAh battery, and more. But how much of an upgrade is it from its predecessor, the Find X9 (review), which was an excellent proposition for the price?

The OPPO Find X10 is priced in India at Rs 1,39,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, while the top-end 12GB RAM + 512GB storage option costs Rs 1,69,999. That’s a significant jump from its predecessor. The OPPO Find X9, which now seems discontinued, is listed on the official website with a sticker price of Rs 84,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant.
The OPPO Find X10 refines the Find X9’s design by giving the squircle camera module and the adjacent LED flash a distinct finish that sets them apart from the rest of the body. The module features a glossy finish that makes it stand out, while the rest of the body has a frosted finish. The OPPO Find X10 has also been introduced in three new shades: Glacier Blue, Glow Coral, and Mist Blue.
Personally, the Glow Coral looks more eye-catching in the press renders and reminds me of the OPPO Find X9s. The other aspects of the Find X10 appear identical to those of the OPPO Find X9, which was introduced in Titanium Grey, Space Black, and Velvet Red. Both smartphones feature flat edges, a flat display, a Snap Key on the left side, and a volume rocker and power button on the right. They also carry IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance. The smartphones are also SGS five-star rated for protection against minor drops and falls.
The similarities of both smartphones extend to the dimensions as well, but the OPPO Find X9 is marginally lighter at 203 grams compared to the Find X10, which weighs 213 grams. Both phones also sport a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, 10-bit colour depth, symmetrical bezels, and up to 3,600 nits peak brightness.
That said, the Find X10 gets a more power-efficient LTPO display, with a dynamic refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. Furthermore, the handset can clock a 144Hz refresh rate with select games for smoother animation and graphics. On the contrary, the Find X9 features a standard LTPS panel with up to a 120Hz refresh rate.
At the core of the OPPO Find X10 is MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600M SoC, which shares the same architecture as the Dimensity 9500 that powers the Find X9. Both SoCs are built on TSMC’s 3nm process node and deliver the same clock speeds. The smartphones also feature LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring identical app launch times and data transfer speeds, respectively.
Software-wise, the OPPO Find X10 runs ColorOS 17, based on Android 17, out of the box. The latest software version brings a host of new features, which we have covered extensively in our ColorOS 17 hands-on article. The Find X9, on the other hand, comes pre-loaded with ColorOS 16 but is expected to receive the stable ColorOS 17 update via OTA soon as part of its four major OS upgrade support.
Cameras are where the OPPO Find X10 has received some noteworthy upgrades. The handset features a triple camera setup, comprising a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HPE OIS primary sensor, 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN5 ultrawide lens, and a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HPS 3x OIS periscope telephoto unit. The setup is paired with a 24-channel True Colour camera to capture realistic and lifelike colours. Even the selfie camera has received an upgrade, bumping the resolution to 50MP for superior results.
The Find X10 also benefits from OPPO’s partnership with Hasselblad, with its cameras tuned to reflect the camera maker’s signature style. The collaboration brings a range of shooting modes and filters, allowing users to experiment with different photographic styles and achieve more refined results.
The OPPO Find X9 also features Hasselblad-tuned cameras, but its setup now looks inferior on paper, with a triple 50MP rear camera system and a 32MP front-facing camera. When we reviewed it, the Find X9 stood out as one of the most promising smartphones for photography. It will be interesting to see how the Find X10 builds on that reputation with its larger sensors.
The OPPO Find X10 gets a battery upgrade, packing an 8,000mAh unit compared to the 7,025mAh battery on the Find X9. This should theoretically translate into longer battery life for the newer model. According to OPPO, the Find X10 can deliver up to 27.7 hours of YouTube streaming, 20.5 hours of Instagram Reels playback, and 8.1 hours of BGMI gaming at 120 FPS. A full review will give us a clearer picture of the Find X10’s actual battery life, so stay tuned.
As for charging, both smartphones support 80W SuperVOOC wired charging and 50W AirVOOC wireless charging. A wired charger is included in the box. Given the Find X10’s larger battery, it should take longer to charge than the Find X9, although the difference may not be significant.
If you’re an OPPO Find X9 user, upgrading to the Find X10 may not justify the price difference. The in-hand feel, viewing experience, and performance are likely to be nearly identical on both smartphones. Cameras and battery life are where the Find X10 may have an edge, thanks to its superior sensors and larger battery capacity, respectively.
This time around, the standard Find X10 also supports the Teleconverter Kit, which uses a separately sold telephoto lens to extend the smartphone’s optical zoom capabilities and capture distant subjects with greater detail and portraits with better depth effects.
If you want the telephoto extender kit without spending roughly Rs 2 lakh on the Find X10 Pro Max, the Find X10 is worth considering. Otherwise, existing Find X9 users can comfortably sit this one out.
