OPPO Find X9 Ultra up for pre-orders in China, storage variants and colours officially revealed

The much-awaited OPPO Find X9 Ultra is finally making its debut next week, in China. The smartphone is also debuting globally the same day, marking the first Ultra model from OPPO’s flagship lineup to launch outside China. The Find X9 Ultra is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious Android flagships of the year, and its official listing in China gives a clearer picture of what buyers can expect ahead of its launch.

The Find X9 Ultra is already up for pre-order in China, with three distinct finishes: Polar Glaciers, Rongsha Canyon, and Tundra. The handset will be available in four configurations: 12GB RAM + 256GB, 12GB RAM + 512GB, 16GB RAM + 512GB, and 16GB RAM + 1TB. Interestingly, only the 1TB variant includes satellite communication support. Also, it’s not confirmed if this variant will arrive in global markets or not. OPPO is also offering a special “Hasselblad Master Set” bundle, likely aimed at enthusiasts who want a more complete photography kit experience.

OPPO Find X9 Ultra camera specs

It’s no secret that the OPPO Find X9 Ultra is vying to be the top camera smartphone. It will house a 200MP primary camera with a large 1-inch sensor, a combination aimed at delivering DSLR-like depth and low-light performance. There’s a 200MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and another 50MP periscope telephoto with 10x optical zoom. The Find X9 Ultra is also getting a 50MP ultra-wide lens to complete its quad-camera setup. For selfies and videos, there’s a 50MP front camera.

With this camera package, OPPO has all the areas covered you’d need for the ultimate camera phone. The Find X9 Ultra will still have competition from rivals like the upcoming Vivo X300 Ultra and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The Vivo X300 Ultra, for instance, is also launching with a dual 200MP camera setup and a teleconverter with 17.5x optical zoom support.

Since the Find X9 Ultra is launching globally too, the smartphone will be available in more markets and a wider audience. The Find X9 Ultra makes the most sense if you prioritise photography and zoom performance above everything else, and you want cutting-edge hardware. However, if you’re not a photography enthusiast but still want good cameras, even the Find X9 Pro and the standard Find X9 are fine options and at more accessible prices.
