OPPO K14 Plus receives a price hike of up to Rs 5,000: now starts at at Rs 32,999

Highlights

Building on the OPPO K14 series, the K14 Plus launched a few weeks ago as an upper mid-range phone with a massive battery, a 1.5K AMOLED display, and strong durability. Now, as with most newly released smartphones, the K14 Plus has seen its first price hike, likely due to the ongoing memory shortage affecting consumer-grade products across industries.

Is the OPPO K14 Plus still a strong choice?

To decide whether the OPPO K14 Plus remains a strong choice at the new prices, let’s look at what the competition offers. The K14 Plus’ closest competitor is the POCO X8, which offers a sizeable 1.5K AMOLED panel protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, though at 120Hz. Powering up the device is the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor with up to 12GB RAM, a larger 9,000mAh battery with up to 67W fast charging, a 50MP 1/2.76-inch primary camera with OIS, and IP68 and IP69K ratings. The POCO X8 weighs 223g.

On the other hand, the OPPO K14 Plus features a 6.78-inch 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED display, the equally capable MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Max chipset with UFS 3.1 storage, a 50MP 1/2-inch OIS rear camera, an 8000mAh battery with 45W charging in a lighter 207g build, ColorOS 16.5 based on Android 17 along with IP68/IP69K ratings. Based on these specs, the POCO X8 leads in battery capacity and fast charging, while the OPPO K14 Plus should feel more ergonomic thanks to its lighter design.
