The OPPO K15 Pro and K15 Pro+ launched in China last week as successors to last year’s K13 Turbo series. With the K13 Turbo series, OPPO introduced a new gaming-focused mid-range lineup. The OPPO K15 Pro and K15 Pro+ continue that strategy with gaming aesthetics like LED lights, built-in cooling fans, and large batteries. OPPO already has the Reno 15 series, which focuses on design and cameras. The OPPO K15 Pro series caters to a more performance and gaming-focused audience.
OPPO K15 Pro series India launch tipped
OPPO hasn’t revealed any official details yet, but tipster GadgetsData has posted on X saying that the K15 Pro series is coming to India. Both the K15 Pro and K15 Pro+ smartphones are said to launch in India and possibly in Q3 of this year. This means that we can expect the OPPO K15 Pro series to arrive here sometime between July and September. That’s still a few months to go for the K15 Pro India launch, if the information is accurate.

OPPO K15 Pro series: what to expect
The tipster added that the specifications for both phones will remain the same. This means that we might not see any change in terms of specifications with the OPPO K15 Pro and K15 Pro+.
Here’s what the OPPO K15 Pro Plus offers:
- 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, 165Hz refresh rate
- MediaTek Dimensity 9500s SoC, 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, 512GB UFS 4.1 storage
- 8,000mAh battery, 80W fast charging
- 50MP primary, 8MP ultra-wide, 16MP front camera
OPPO has made some upgrades here with a higher refresh rate compared to the K13 Turbo Pro’s 120Hz panel. This means a smoother gaming experience on compatible titles. It also gets a much larger 8,000mAh battery, which should run comfortably for two days and possibly even longer. The MediaTek Dimensity 9500s is a flagship-level chipset ensuring high levels of performance without any issues. Add to that a large vapour chamber cooling system with a built-in fan with an IPX9 rating for active heat dissipation.
And here’s what you get with the OPPO K15 Pro:
- 6.59-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, 144Hz refresh rate
- MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Super SoC, 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, 512GB UFS 4.1 storage
- 7,500mAh battery, 80W fast charging
- 50MP primary, 8MP ultra-wide, 16MP front camera
The OPPO K15 Pro offers a more compact form factor compared to the K15 Pro+. It’s the first phone to feature the Dimensity 8500 ‘Super’ SoC, which should also be capable of running heavy titles and intensive tasks, albeit not as powerful as the Pro+. Its battery capacity is 7,500mAh, just slightly smaller than the K15 Pro+, so the performance should be quite similar. The K15 Pro also comes with the same vapour chamber and IPX9-rated cooling fan.
Camera specs are the same on both phones, which is a dual-camera setup meant mostly for casual photography. The OPPO K15 Pro series also runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16 out of the box.
In China, the OPPO K15 Pro starts at around Rs 41,000, while the K15 Pro+ costs around Rs 47,000. This suggests a price increase for the K15 Pro lineup when it launches here in India. For context, the K13 Turbo series debuted at a starting price of Rs 27,999.
If the two phones do launch here, buyers would have more choices when it comes to performance-focused and gaming phones. The K15 Pro+ is recommended for those who want a flagship-level smartphone that doesn’t compromise on performance and battery life. The K15 Pro would be the affordable alternative for people who want a slightly compact gaming phone.
We’ll still have to wait and see how OPPO plans to price the K15 Pro and K15 Pro+ in India, and how they compare to rivals. So if you’re not in a hurry to buy a new gaming phone, the OPPO K15 Pro series might be worth waiting for.
