OPPO’s mid-range K-series is getting a refresh, launch teased
OPPO has started hinting at its next K-series phone for India, signalling that an update to the K13 lineup is close. The company has put out a teaser with the tagline “Get ready for the Next K,” and a Flipkart microsite is already live, confirming the phone will be sold through the platform once it launches.
Right now, OPPO hasn’t said much beyond that. There’s no confirmed name, no specs, and no launch date yet. The teaser does show a partial look at the phone’s design though. From what’s visible, the device sticks to a familiar K-series look, with flat sides, a flat back, and a rectangular camera module with rounded corners. The camera housing appears to include two rear cameras and an LED flash, similar to what OPPO used on the K13 and K13 Turbo. This doesn’t look like a major design change, and more like a continuation of the same formula.

The upcoming phone is expected to follow the OPPO K13 series, which launched last year. The OPPO K13 5G arrived in April 2025 at a starting price of Rs 17,999 and focussed on battery life and charging speeds. It came with a large 7,000mAh battery, 80W fast charging, an AMOLED display, and a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip. In June, OPPO added the K13x 5G to the lineup at Rs 11,999, offering a cheaper option with an LCD screen and a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, while still keeping a high refresh rate and a big battery.
Based on how OPPO has handled the K-series so far, the next phone is likely to land in the same budget-to-mid-range space. This is a crowded part of the market, with plenty of competition from Redmi, Realme, and Samsung. In this segment, buyers usually care more about battery life, charging speed, display quality, and pricing than chasing top-end performance numbers.
For buyers, this teaser mainly tells that an update is coming. If you’re already considering the OPPO K13 or K13x, it may be worth waiting to see what the new model offers and how it’s priced. On the flipside, once OPPO officially launches the next K-series phone, the current models are likely to get discounted, which could make them the better deal if you don’t need the latest release.
