  • The tablet is launching in two colours in India.
  • OPPO Pad 5 will launch alongside the Reno 15 series.

OPPO has officially confirmed that the OPPO Pad 5 will launch in India soon. The confirmation comes through a microsite on Flipkart for the upcoming OPPO Reno 15 series, where the OPPO Pad 5 is now listed at the bottom. OPPO has yet to reveal the launch date for its upcoming products, which now include phones and a tablet. The OPPO Pad 5 isn’t entirely a new product as it was originally unveiled in China in October, and the Indian version is expected to retain most of its core features.

Based on the teaser details, the OPPO Pad 5 is confirmed to feature a 2.8K display and a 10,050mAh battery, along with an AI-powered note-taking feature. In comparison, the Chinese model has a 3K display with a slightly bigger 10,420mAh battery. The differences don’t seem too big between the two units.

As for the rest of its specifications, here’s what to expect from the OPPO Pad 5 in India.

The OPPO Pad 5’s 12.1-inch display is an LCD panel with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and support for up to 144Hz refresh rate. The tablet also comes with stylus support, which will most likely be sold separately. Powering the OPPO Pad 5 is the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The 10,050mAh battery comes with 67W fast charging support.

In China, the OPPO Pad 5 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset and runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. It is available with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, and features an 8MP camera on both the front and rear. If OPPO brings the same hardware to India, the Pad 5 would become one of the most powerful Android tablets available in the country in the mid-premium segment.

Flipkart’s listing shows the tablet in Black and Pink colour options, though OPPO has not yet revealed the official marketing names for these shades.

Pricing will ultimately decide how competitive the OPPO Pad 5 is in India. The tablet starts at CNY 2,599 in China, which roughly translates to Rs 32,000, for the base variant and goes up to about Rs 44,000 for the top-end configuration. If priced around the same, then the OPPO Pad 5 would compete against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE or the Apple iPad.

With its expansive display, hefty battery, stylus support, and flagship-grade chipset, the OPPO Pad 5 is shaping up to be more than just another new tablet in India. It could emerge as a genuine premium alternative for buyers who want top-tier features without stretching to iPad-level pricing. For anyone planning a tablet upgrade right now, it may be worth holding off a little longer to see how the OPPO Pad 5 is priced and how it performs in real-world use.
