Samsung will kick off next week’s launches with its Galaxy M47 smartphone on June 29th. The latest M-series from the OEM is confirmed to be an Amazon special and powered by a Snapdragon chipset. The SoC will be paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. While most details are under wraps, the Samsung Galaxy M47 key specs have been revealed.

Software will be one of the biggest highlights of the smartphone. The Galaxy M47 will receive six OS upgrades and six years of security updates, which could be the highest for the segment. The handset will feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, which should get decently bright and offer smooth scrolling and gaming performance.
In optics, the Galaxy M47 could sport a triple camera setup, comprising a 50MP OIS main sensor, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro unit. For selfies and video calling, it could rely on a 12MP snapper in the punch-hole setup. The handset will support up to 4K video recording.
Other features will include 45W fast charging and bypass charging. The official teaser has revealed the Samsung Galaxy M47 with flat edges and in two colour options: Rogue Red and Blaze Blue.
Next week also marks the launch of OnePlus’ entry in the budget space. The OEM has lined up the launch of its new smartphone in the N-series, called OnePlus N6, on June 30th. The handset is said to be priced between the Rs 18,000 and Rs 25,000 segment.
Specs at a glance
The main highlight of the phone is its battery. The OnePlus N6 will house an 8,000mAh battery, backed by 45W fast charging. It’ll run Android 16-based OxygenOS 16 out of the box. The alleged Geekbench listing has revealed MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex SoC, paired with 6GB RAM, on the smartphone. The phone’s design has already been showcased, confirming flat edges and a squarish rear camera module.
The OnePlus N6 will feature dual rear cameras, reportedly with a 50MP primary sensor. Furthermore, the device will be available in two colour options: black and green, and is promised to offer smooth performance for up to 5 years.
The OPPO Reno16 is set to debut in India on July 2nd as the successor to the company’s Reno15, launched earlier this year. The handset will continue to prioritise design, durability and cameras. The official images have confirmed a 3D design on the back of the OPPO Reno16. Additionally, the handset will boast an aluminium frame, with splash touch and glove touch technology. As for durability, it is said to be IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K rated, protecting it even against high-pressure and high-temperature water jets.
Specs at a glance
As for the specifications, the OPPO Reno 16 is confirmed to feature a 6.32-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness. The relatively compact screen size should make the phone easier to handle with one hand, appealing to users who prefer smaller smartphones without sacrificing a high-refresh-rate display. It will also feature OPPO’s new AI Snap Key, which acts as a shortcut for AI-powered features and quick access to MindSpace, making frequently used tools more accessible.
In optics, the Reno 16 will sport a 50MP triple rear camera setup and a 50MP front-facing camera. The cameras should deliver promising results. The phone will most likely run ColorOS 16 out of the box. Its design looks identical to its predecessor, OPPO Reno 15, with its squarish camera module. The handset will be available in Starry White, Twilight Violet, and Stellar Purple colour variants.
The OPPO Reno 16c is launching alongside the Reno 16 in India on July 2nd. The handset will be a more affordable version of its vanilla sibling, but share quite a few traits. These include the eye-catching design, up to IP69K durability, and the 50MP cameras. However, the smartphone won’t be as compact as the Reno 16.
Specs at a glance
The OPPO Reno 16c will sport a 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, with a peak brightness of 1,400 nits. Like the Reno 16, the smartphone will also sport an aerospace-grade aluminium frame, along with Splash Touch and Glove Touch support for improved durability and usability.
There is no word on the OPPO Reno 16c’s pricing at the moment. Alongside the Reno 16 series, OPPO is also introducing the OPPO Bubble, a magnetic accessory with a 1.73-inch AMOLED circular display that attaches to the back of the phone. It can function as a camera viewfinder and remote shutter, making it useful for selfies and group shots. The accessory also supports a 10-metre Bluetooth range, custom wallpapers and interactive pets, packs a 550mAh battery, and comes with an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. While it’s a niche accessory, it could add a fun and practical element for users who frequently use their phone’s cameras.
