The OnePlus 15R is set to make its India debut on December 17th. The device is the global version of the OnePlus Ace 6T, which was recently launched in China. It’s the first phone powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, which is close in performance to the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Now, a new benchmark listing has added to the anticipation, giving us a closer look at the phone’s hardware.
OnePlus 15R appears on Geekbench
A handset carrying the model number OnePlus CPH2767 has surfaced on Geekbench, as spotted by tipster Abhishek Yadav. The model number and specifications strongly suggest it’s the upcoming OnePlus 15R. The listing reveals an octa-core processor based on ARMv8 architecture, with a base clock speed of 3.32GHz. The CPU configuration includes two high-performance cores running at 3.80GHz and six additional performance cores at the base frequency. This setup aligns with Qualcomm’s newly announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.

The benchmark entry also shows the device equipped with around 10.88GB of RAM, which would be marketed as 12GB. The OnePlus smartphone is also running Android 16, expected to be layered with OxygenOS 16. The motherboard identifier listed is “canoe”.
In Geekbench, the OnePlus 15R scored 2,784 in single-core and 9,329 in multi-core tests. While impressive, these figures sit slightly below the performance of the OnePlus 15. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the flagship achieved scores of 3,579 (single-core) and 10,575 (multi-core) in 91mobiles’ testing. This is expected since the 8 Elite Gen 5 is more powerful than the 8 Gen 5.
Even so, the numbers indicate that the 15R will deliver strong performance when it hits both Indian and global markets, offering a more affordable alternative to the flagship OnePlus 15 while still packing a next-gen chipset.
What to expect from the OnePlus 15R?
In addition to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, the OnePlus 15R is confirmed to feature a 165Hz display, like the flagship OnePlus 15. However, it might not support 165fps gaming, as OnePlus India has teased 120fps for the 15R. If consistent, 120fps would still guarantee a smooth gaming experience with fewer frame drops.

The OnePlus 15R is also coming with four IP ratings — IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K. This ensures the highest level of protection against dust and water for the 15R, making it a highly durable phone. In India, OnePlus is launching the 15R in green and black colours.
In China, the OnePlus Ace 6T features a huge 8,300mAh battery with 100W fast charging, but the OnePlus 15R is expected to ship with a slightly smaller, yet still sizable battery capacity. The camera setup may be less exciting, however, as the 15R is tipped to feature a dual-camera system without a telephoto lens.
Despite this, the OnePlus 15R is shaping up to be a performance-focused device, promising speeds that come close to the flagship OnePlus 15. For users looking for near-flagship power without the premium price tag, the OnePlus 15R is shaping up to be a strong contender worth waiting for.
