Realme has officially revealed key details of its upcoming battery-focused smartphone, the Realme P4R. The smartphone is confirmed to debut in India next week as part of the brand’s battery-focused P series. It’s also the first time Realme is introducing an ‘R’ model in the lineup. The brand has already made a mark in this category with the Realme P4 Power offering a 10,001mAh battery, and the recently launched Realme 16T with an 8,000mAh battery.
Realme P4R is confirmed to launch in India on June 10th, which is only a week from now. The smartphone will be available to purchase on Flipkart and realme.com. More details regarding its pricing and sale will be announced on launch day.
Realme is launching the P4R in Titanium Glare, Silver Glare, and Lavender Glare colour options. The smartphone houses a customisable Pulse Light and AI Power Light for interactive notifications for gaming, music, and alerts.
The highlight of the Realme P4R will be its massive 8,000mAh battery. The 8,000mAh Titan Battery on the Realme P4R is claimed to last for three days, which is a very tall claim despite the battery capacity. We still need to test the phone in real-world scenarios to see how it lasts on regular and heavy usage. The phone comes with 45W fast charging support, along with AI power management and Battery Health Engine, which, together, are said to ensure 80 percent battery health even after 7 years.
The Realme P4R also comes with bypass charging for gaming and reverse charging, so that the phone can double as a power bank. In the mid-range segment, the Realme P4R is expected to compete with the OnePlus Nord CE6, which also has an 8,000mAh battery.
The smartphone is confirmed to house a 50MP AI camera along with features like Motion Photo on both front and rear cameras. More AI features like AI Portrait Glow, AI Eraser 2.0, AI Ultra Clarity, and AI Unblur are set to arrive on the Realme P4R. AI Eraser 2.0 will allow users to easily remove unwanted objects from their photos, making editing simpler and faster.
In a recent leak, the Realme P4R’s box price was revealed to be Rs 44,999, suggesting a higher-than-expected price tag for the handset. It’s also speculated that the Realme P4R will launch as a rebranded version of the Realme 16T. The confirmed specs revealed so far suggest so, but we should still wait for official details.
For now, the Realme P4R looks like a phone worth waiting for if you prioritise battery life. If you’re planning to upgrade from an old phone, especially for battery life, the Realme P4R could be worth it. We’re yet to know more details about the handset, so it’s best to wait before making any buying decision.
