Redmi A7 Pro to launch in India on April 13th: what to expect from the budget phone
Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi, has announced the launch of a new smartphone in India. The Redmi A7 Pro is eased to launch in India on April 13th. This handset is a new addition to Redmi’s budget A-series and also the first Pro model in the lineup. The Redmi A7 Pro has been teased as the ‘King of Power & Style’ suggesting a focus on design and performance. With the Redmi A-series, the brand offers budget and entry-level options to buyers. Redmi A7 Pro: what to expect
According to the official teaser images, the Redmi A7 Pro has a design similar to the Redmi A5. It’s a vertical camera setup at the back with flat corners, and what looks like a metal frame. The Redmi A7 Power is teased to feature segment’s fastest processor, but without the name revealed. It’s not clear which chipset Redmi plans to use with the A7 Power. It’s confirmed to house a 6,300mAh battery, which should be more than enough for regular to moderate usage. The handset will house a 6.9-inch display, teased to be the largest and smoothest. A 6.9-inch is actually the largest you can get, making it a good option for those who enjoy watching movies and TV shows on a large screen. It’s also expected to come with a high refresh rate of at least 120Hz.
Redmi has also confirmed a 32MP dual AI camera for the A7 Pro. The secondary sensor’s details haven’t been revealed. The handset will also come with AI camera features. On the software front, it will most likely run HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 out of the box. It will get HyperIsland, a tiny bar on top of the screen to display notifications, meetings, reminders, and other things. The Redmi A7 Pro is also confirmed to get Circle to Search, and it’s teased to feature a durable design.
Since the Redmi A-series caters to the budget-friendly segment, we expect the Redmi A7 Pro to be priced under Rs 10,000. But considering the recent changes in the smartphone industry with price hikes across the board, the Redmi A7 Pro might be more expensive. With the launch only a few days away, it would make sense to wait for the Redmi A7 Pro if you’re planning to buy a budget phone.
