  • It has been teased for launch this month.

Redmi is also joining the clip-on TWS segment, with its first launch slated to arrive later this month. Redmi Clip Neo is the brand’s first clip-on earbuds, and it’s said to launch alongside the Redmi K100 smartphone. Clip-on earbuds have become quite the rage, with brands across the budget-to-premium spectrum introducing them. Xiaomi launched its first clip-on earbuds earlier this year, and Redmi will soon join.

Redmi Clip Neo wireless earbuds

Redmi teased the Clip Neo on Weibo, confirming its launch later this month with the Redmi K100 smartphone. It also shared teaser images showing off the design of the Redmi Clip Neo. The earbuds have a small, curved design, with the smaller end sitting on your ear and the other end placed behind your ear. The earbuds can be seen in a white/light silver colour with a matching case. More colours may be announced at launch.

Redmi hasn’t shared any specs or features of the Clip Neo, but we expect it to sit in the budget segment, possibly below Xiaomi’s clip-on earphones. These are priced at CNY 849 (Rs 12,100 approx.) and come with an 11mm driver, an IP57 rating for dust and water resistance, and up to 38 hours of battery life. The Redmi Clip Neo is expected to offer similar features but slightly toned down.

The appeal of clip-on earphones lies mostly in their design, offering a comfortable fit for long wear. It may also act as a stylish accessory, as brands can play around with the finish and overall look. Since these are not in-ear designs, they wouldn’t have very strong ANC in comparison, but should be good enough to block out noise.

We should know more details about the Redmi Clip Neo soon since it’s launching later this month. For those who are interested in this ear-on design, they can wait and go for the Redmi Clip Neo.
