Redmi could be adding a new smartphone to its K100 lineup soon. The Redmi K100 has been rumoured for quite some time now, and a new leak reveals its possible launch timeline. Redmi K100 will be the standard model in the lineup, joining the K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max. The smartphone’s highlight will be its massive 10,000mAh battery.
Redmi is reportedly planning to launch the K100 by the end of this month, according to tipster Smart Pikachu. This is a new development, as it was previously said that the Redmi K100 would debut by the end of this year. The tipster added that the Redmi K100 will offer a combination of Snapdragon dual-chip performance, a massive battery, an ultra-high-refresh-rate display, and Bose-tuned audio. This setup isn’t surprising, as Redmi’s K100 series focuses on performance and endurance.
According to previous leaks, the Redmi K100 is tipped to feature a large display between 6.8 and 6.9 inches with a 165Hz – 185Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is also expected to house a massive 10,000mAh battery, or something close to it. If accurate, it would be a notable upgrade over the Redmi K90’s 7,100 mAh battery. This setup makes for a powerful smartphone, especially for gaming, thanks to the high refresh rate and reliable battery life.
The smartphone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 5 V chipset, which is based on the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite 5. It could be paired with a dedicated display chip to enhance the gaming experience even more. The Redmi K100 is also said to come with symmetrical dual speakers, a large linear vibration motor, and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
All leaks point towards dedicated gaming and performance hardware for the Redmi K100. With an imminent launch, it would make sense to wait for the Redmi K100 if you want a gaming-focused smartphone with a large battery.
