Following the price hikes on Redmi Note 15 and Redmi 15 just last week, Xiaomi has now revised the prices of other smartphones across price segments, per an official notice shared by the company. Along with the Redmi Note 15 Pro, this round of price revisions mainly affects Redmi phones that were previously priced under Rs 15,000. Higher variants of these models now start above Rs 15,000.
Many Redmi phones get costlier

The revised prices are effective starting today, i.e. June 1st. While the notice doesn’t specify the reasons for the price increase, it is likely due to the ongoing industry-wide memory shortages and rising component costs.
What was previously the Redmi 15’s territory, the Redmi 15A‘s base 4GB + 64GB variant now starts at Rs 14,999, while the Redmi 15C starts at Rs 16,999, making it Rs 4,500 more expensive since its launch. The recently launched Redmi A7 4G and Redmi A7 Pro 4G also see a price hike of Rs 1,000 each.
Interestingly, the Redmi Note 15 Pro’s base 8GB + 128GB model’s price remains unchanged at Rs 31,999, while the 8GB + 256GB variant has been bumped up by Rs 3,000. Since prices are likely to keep rising over the next few months, it’s advisable to buy these devices now before they become even more expensive.
On the other hand, POCO, Motorola, Nothing, and several other brands have also announced price hikes across their smartphones today. This situation is particularly concerning for budget-conscious buyers, especially those who need a phone urgently. What’s worse is that even phones launched just 6 to 8 months ago are seeing price increases, making it harder to find older models at lower prices, a strategy that used to work well in the past.
