Samsung Galaxy A27 leak points to selfie camera upgrade

Highlights

Samsung’s mid-range lineup is set to expand with the Samsung Galaxy A27, which will sit alongside the recently launched Samsung Galaxy A57 and Samsung Galaxy A37. There’s no official launch date yet, but a mix of leaks and benchmark listings is starting to tell us what to expect.

While the Geekbench listing seemed to suggest an unexpected downgrade, one of the more interesting changes this time may be around the selfie camera. A report from GalaxyClub says the Galaxy A27 could use a new 12MP front sensor, replacing the 13MP unit on the Samsung Galaxy A26. While that sounds like a downgrade at first, the newer sensor is said to be larger, which usually helps in capturing more light. In everyday use, that could mean better selfies indoors, clearer video calls, and less noise in low light.
