Samsung has launched the Samsung Galaxy F70 in India, adding a third option to its mid-range F70 series. One of the notable features of the F70 is Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, which is not so common among smartphones priced below Rs 20,000. The phone also combines a Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, a 50MP camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and a slim 7.5 mm body, while promising extended software support.

Samsung Galaxy F70 5G price in India, availability

The Samsung Galaxy F70 5G costs Rs 19,999 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, while the 6GB + 128GB model is priced at Rs 22,999. It will go on sale on Flipkart on October 20th at 12 noon, with launch offers bringing the starting price to Rs 17,999 through a bank discount. It comes in Lilac Bliss and Bliss Black colour options.

The Galaxy F70 5G sits between two other models in Samsung’s lineup. The Galaxy F70e 5G starts at Rs 18,499, while the Galaxy F70 Pro 5G is priced from Rs 37,999. The standard model could appeal to buyers who want a better display and more versatile cameras without paying the Pro model’s premium.

Samsung Galaxy F70 5G specifications and features

The Galaxy F70 5G features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection is a useful addition at this price, offering resistance to scratches and everyday drops. The phone has a 7.5 mm body, weighs 192 gms and carries an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.

Powering the device is Samsung’s 5nm Exynos 1330 octa-core chipset, paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. A microSD card allows storage expansion up to 2TB. The 5,000mAh battery supports 25W wired charging. For photography, the phone has a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 5MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro sensor. The 13MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. The device runs Android 15-based One UI 7 and includes Samsung Knox, Samsung Wallet and Circle to Search. There is some overlap in terms of the battery, cameras and chipset details with the Galaxy M17, which also has the same starting price.

Samsung promises four generations of Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates, giving the phone a longer support window than many budget and mid-range alternatives.

The OnePlus N6x is a direct competitor for the Galaxy F70, with the former priced at Rs 18,499 for the 4GB + 64GB variant and Rs 19,999 for 4GB + 128GB. It offers a 6.8-inch HD+ LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and a larger 7,000mAh battery. Samsung has the advantage in display resolution and panel technology. Its FHD+ AMOLED screen should deliver sharper images and deeper blacks than the OnePlus phone’s HD+ LCD. The F70 also offers a more versatile camera setup, with a 50MP OIS-equipped primary sensor, an ultrawide camera and a macro camera, compared with the N6x’s single 13MP rear camera. Gorilla Glass Victus protection is another distinction, alongside Samsung’s longer-term software support commitment.

The OnePlus N6x remains a better fit for buyers who prioritise battery capacity and smoother scrolling. Those who value display quality, camera versatility, screen protection and a slim design should consider Samsung’s offering. Within Samsung’s own lineup, the Galaxy F70e offers a lower starting price, while the Galaxy F70 Pro targets buyers willing to spend more for a higher-tier model.
