Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G design and colours
Starting with the design, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G will feature 2.5D glass design for display, moving away from the more curved 3D glass design seen in premium Samsung smartphones in the last few years. The volume button and power buttons are on the right side, while the left has been left barren. The camera protrudes on the back, that too significantly more than we are used to on modern day flagship smartphones.
On the back is where things get interesting — the camera module shows the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G will have four camera sensors. The one on the bottom is the periscope sensor that will provide the smartphone its zooming chops — the top-end S20 model will offer 10x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. The Space Zoom branding is also visible in the module — clearly Samsung is taking on the Pixel 4 series’ in the astrophotography arena. The dual-tone colour scheme on the camera module separates the periscope lens from the rest of the sensors. Above the periscope zoom lens will be three sensors and a single-tone LED flash, in square formation. It should be noted that the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G is also said to have a fifth 3D ToF sensor, but it is not clearly visible in the images. The only other element on the back of the smartphone is the Samsung logo.
We have learnt the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G — as well as the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+ — will come in three colour options at the time of launch. These are Cosmic Black, Cosmic Grey, and Cloud Blue.
