What to expect from the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event 2026

Samsung hasn’t revealed the list of devices it will be unveiling at its upcoming event, but shared subtle hints of a new foldable expected, alongside the expected Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and next-gen Galaxy Watch. The chaebol has also confirmed the introduction of a new Flex Titanium Technology display, which is said to be more durable than ever before and offer a crease-less experience.
The display incorporates a titanium-alloy film that, according to Samsung, is around 20 per cent stiffer than conventional polymer films. Despite being just 30 per cent as thick as a human hair, the film is said to improve the panel’s durability without adding bulk. The new display technology also enhances viewing experience and makes it more power-efficient.

Apart from the new display, the handsets are also expected to come with improved performance, a larger battery, faster 45W wired charging speeds, and 25W wireless charging capabilities. It could also come with the latest Android 17-based One UI 9 out of the box.
Expected specifications
- Exynos 2600/ Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite SoC
- 12GB RAM + up to 1TB storage
- 6.9-inch main display and 4.1-inch cover display (Z Flip8)
- 7.6-inch main display and 5.5-inch cover display (Z Fold8)
- 50MP rear cameras
- 10MP front camera
Unfortunately, there isn’t much we know about the form factor of the new foldable in the lineup. However, teasers suggest it could feature a slightly smaller design than Samsung’s conventional book-style foldables. This may appeal to buyers who want the benefits of a large-screen foldable but not the tall form factor. The handset should be more pocketable than the rumoured Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8.
Samsung has also announced a collaboration between its upcoming foldables and the forthcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day. As part of the announcement, the company shared a teaser video offering brief glimpses of what appear to be the next-generation Galaxy Z Flip8 and Galaxy Z Fold8. If the visuals are anything to go by, both foldables are expected to retain designs similar to their predecessors. The Galaxy Z Flip8 appears to feature a dual rear camera setup, while the Galaxy Z Fold8 is likely to continue with a triple rear camera system.
Other than the smartphones, Samsung is also expected to launch its latest smartwatches, speculated to be the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2.
There is no word on the next-gen Samsung Galaxy foldables and smartwatches’ price at the moment.
