Smartphones launching in India this week: Redmi Note 15 Pro series, Vivo X200T and Realme P4 Power

The last week of January is buzzing with some interesting smartphone launches. Redmi is bringing the Pro models from its Note 15 series. Vivo is introducing a new ‘T’ model in the flagship lineup. Realme is also introducing a first by launching a smartphone with a mammoth 10,001mAh battery. All these smartphones cater to the mid-range and premium sub-flagship category. Here’s a detailed look at what to expect from smartphones launching in India this week.

Redmi Note 15 Pro series

Redmi Note 15 launched in India earlier this month, and now the Pro models are set to debut. Although not confirmed, it’s expected that there will be two phones in the lineup: Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro+.

As the name suggests, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ will the top-end model in the series. It’s confirmed to feature a 200MP MasterPixel OIS camera with HDR + AI engine, multifocal portraits, and 4K video recording support. The smartphone will come with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings along with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. Redmi Note 15 Pro+ will pack a 6,500mAh battery, slightly more than the 14 Pro+ ‘s 6,200mAh battery. The handset is also getting 100W HyperCharge and 22.5W reverse charging support.

The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is expected to run on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, a capable mid-range chip that may lag behind phones using faster options like the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. IceLoop cooling should help keep temperatures in check during gaming. It will feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with up to 3,200 nits peak brightness and up to 24GB RAM, including 12GB virtual RAM. AI features such as Writing, Speech Recognition, and Interpreter are also expected to be part of the software experience.

Redmi Note 15 Pro

Redmi hasn’t clearly mentioned which phone the confirmed specs belong to, but most of them are expected to be the same for both models. These include the display, 200MP camera, and AI features. The Redmi Note 15 Pro might get the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset instead, and a slightly bigger 6,580mAh battery, but with slower 45W charging support. This is what’s tipped for the more affordable Redmi Note 15 Pro, according to a recent leak.

Expected pricing: There’s no word on the Redmi Note 15 Pro series pricing yet, but it’s expected to stick to the mid-range segment. If the same pricing strategy continues then the phones would sit in the Rs 30,000 category.

If Redmi sticks to similar pricing, the Note 15 Pro series should land within Rs 30,000. At this price, the Note 15 Pro and Pro+ could be worth waiting for, especially for buyers seeking a premium design, capable cameras, a large battery, and dependable performance. Overall, the series looks set to be a strong all-rounder in the mid-range segment.

Vivo X200T

Launch date: January 27th

Vivo X200T is launching as the fourth model in the X200 series, and also the first ‘T’ model in the flagship lineup. The smartphone will house an all-50MP ZEISS camera system, which would include a main camera, an ultra-wide, and a periscope telephoto lens. The phone’s cameras are designed to capture detailed city landscapes and natural-looking portraits with ZEISS colour tuning. The device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset and will run OriginOS 6 out of the box.

According to leaks, the phone is tipped to feature a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, bigger than the flagship X200. Battery capacity is expected to be 6,200mAh, which would be lower than the 6,500mAh unit on the compact X200 FE. Charging is rumoured to support 90W wired and 40W wireless speeds.

Expected pricing: The Vivo X200T is said to arrive in two variants: 12GB + 256GB at Rs 59,999 and 12GB + 512GB at Rs 69,999.

The Vivo X200T could be a strong option under Rs 60,000 for photography, especially if its periscope zoom and ZEISS tuning live up to Vivo’s past flagships. Travellers and creators may value its balanced camera setup over raw performance. However, users prioritising battery life may prefer alternatives like the OnePlus 15R with its larger 7,000mAh battery, while gamers should wait for real-world performance and thermal tests.

Realme P4 Power

Launch date: January 29th

Realme P4 Power’s highlight is going to be its 10,001mAh battery, a first for the brand and in the industry as well. This is a battery capacity we usually see in rugged devices, but it’s coming to a mainstream phone with the Realme P4 Power. It’s called the 10,001mAh Titan Battery, positioned for extreme endurance, and claimed to deliver 32.5 hours of video streaming on a single charge and still retain about 86 percent battery after two hours of continuous gaming. The battery is also said to be built with advanced health technology to minimise long-term degradation.

The 10,001mAh battery will be paired with 80W fast charging, and 27W reverse charging support. Despite the giant battery, the phone will be considerably light weighing 219g. The Realme P4 Power is also confirmed to feature a 144Hz HyperGlow 4D Curve+ display with a 1.5K resolution, and 6,500 nits peak brightness. It will be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset paired with the HyperVision+ AI chip. The handset will run realme UI 7.0 out of the box with a 3+4 year software support. The dual-camera setup on the Realme P4 Power will include a 50MP Sony OIS camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera.

Expected pricing: The alleged box pricing of the Realme P4 Power was leaked to be Rs 37,999. The official price would be less, but if it’s still above Rs 30,000, then it would be a steep increase over the previous lineup.

The Realme P4 Power could be a good pick for users who want a phone with exceptional battery life. If long-lasting endurance is your top priority, it may be worth waiting for, though its overall value will depend on how the rest of its specs and features stack up.
