Tecno is getting ready to launch its next budget phone in India. 91mobiles has learned from industry sources that the Tecno Spark Go 3 will launch in India on January 16th as a follow-up to last year’s Spark Go 2.
One of the few confirmed details so far is an IP64 rating, which means the phone should be protected against dust and light water splashes. This will be useful in day-to-day use and offers a level of durability that not all phones in the budget segment can match.

Separately, the Spark Go 3 has shown up on the Google Play Console and Geekbench, revealing what’s under the hood (via The Tech Outlook). The device has model number Tecno‑KN3 and is powered by a Spreadtrum UMS9230E chip with a Mali-G57 GPU. The CPU layout – two performance cores and six efficiency cores – looks very similar to the Unisoc T7250 used in the Spark Go 2, which suggests performance will be steadier and familiar than a big leap forward. In practice, it should be fine for calls, WhatsApp, social media, and streaming.
The Geekbench scores back that up, with reported numbers of 430 for single‑core and 1,426 for multi‑core, broadly in line with other entry‑level Android phones. On the software side, the Spark Go 3 is expected to ship with Android 15 out of the box, and at least one variant with 4GB of RAM is confirmed, though Tecno has yet to confirm which memory options will be available in India.
The Google Play Console listing indicates an HD+ screen with a waterdrop notch and a fairly thick bottom bezel, which seems odd given that the Spark Go 2 has a punch‑hole display. It might be worth taking this with a pinch of salt until the official design reveal.
