Vivo has quietly increased the prices of several smartphones in India, with hikes ranging from Rs 2,000 to as much as Rs 7,000. The revised prices affect models across the company’s flagship X, premium mid-range V, mid-range T and budget Y series, including phones launched just a few months ago. The biggest hike is for the Vivo X300 FE, whose base variant now starts at Rs 86,999.
The price revision also comes amid rising component costs across the smartphone industry. However, Vivo’s latest increases are among the steepest seen recently, especially in the mid-range segment, where some entry-level devices with modest hardware now cross the Rs 20,000 mark.
Vivo phones’ new prices
The Vivo X300 FE has received the biggest increase, with both storage variants becoming Rs 7,000 more expensive than their launch prices. The 12GB + 256GB model now costs Rs 86,999 instead of Rs 79,999, while the 12GB + 512GB version is now priced at a whopping Rs 96,999.
The V70 FE has also become dearer by up to Rs 5,000, while the T5x has seen a cumulative increase of Rs 6,000 since its launch in March. Vivo has also revised prices for the Y51 Pro, Y31 5G, T4 Lite, Y21 5G, Y11 5G and Y05. Notably, the T4 Lite, which debuted in June 2025 at Rs 10,999, now starts at Rs 18,999. Meanwhile, some MediaTek Dimensity 6300-powered smartphones with 4GB RAM now cost over Rs 20,000, highlighting how aggressively prices have moved in the budget segment.

Should you buy the Vivo X300 FE at Rs 86,999?
The revised pricing makes the Vivo X300 FE a much tougher recommendation than it was at launch. While the phone offers a premium design, flagship-grade performance with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and Vivo’s well-regarded Zeiss camera system, buyers now have several compelling alternatives.
Multiple Snapdragon 8 Gen 5-powered smartphones are already available for under Rs 60,000, offering similar flagship performance for significantly less. Vivo is likely betting that its Zeiss imaging partnership and camera experience justify the premium, but the X300 FE remains an “FE” model rather than the company’s top flagship. That distinction becomes harder to ignore now that the standard X300 has been discontinued officially.
At Rs 86,999, the X300 FE is priced alongside flagship phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S26, OPPO Find X9 and Xiaomi 17, all of which offer more premium hardware and features. It also starts above the iPhone 17’s launch price of Rs 82,900.
Unless photography is your top priority and Vivo’s Zeiss-tuned cameras specifically appeal to you, buyers may find better overall value elsewhere. However, we recommend keeping an eye open for compelling sale offers as the season starts in just a few days.
