Vivo has quietly introduced a new budget smartphone in Mexico called the Vivo T5 4G. The latest addition to the company’s T-series lineup focuses heavily on battery life and durability, while also bringing features such as a 120Hz display, stereo speakers, and IP68/IP69 protection to the affordable segment. This smartphone would cater to the budget segment since it supports only 4G connectivity. Here’s all you need to know about the Vivo T5 4G.
Vivo T5 4G specifications, features
One of the biggest highlights of the Vivo T5 4G is its massive 7,200mAh battery, which is on par with what brands are offering today. Vivo claims the handset can deliver up to 45 hours of video playback on a single charge. The battery also supports 44W wired fast charging for quick top-ups.
The Vivo T5 4G features a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. While the panel does not use an AMOLED panel, the higher refresh rate should still offer smoother scrolling and animations. Also, in the budget segment, it’s not surprising that we’re seeing an LCD panel.

Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 processor paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The chipset is aimed at everyday performance, handling social media, video streaming, and casual gaming workloads rather than intensive tasks. Buyers looking for heavy gaming performance may still find more powerful alternatives in slightly costlier 5G smartphones.
On the camera front, the phone gets a 50MP primary rear sensor accompanied by a 2MP depth camera housed inside a squarish metal camera module. For selfies and video calls, Vivo has included a 32MP front-facing camera, which is relatively high resolution for a budget-oriented device. The overall camera setup is quite decent for a budget phone and should be good enough for casual photography.
The handset runs Android 16-based OriginOS 6 out of the box. Additional features include stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and IP68/IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance.
Although Vivo has only announced the T5 4G in Mexico for now, an India launch could be expected in the coming months. The company’s T-series smartphones are quite popular in India with a wide portfolio in the budget and mid-range segments. The smartphone is priced at MXN 5,799 (Rs 31,800 approx).
If launched in India at an aggressive price point, the Vivo T5 4G could appeal to buyers seeking extended battery life, multimedia features, and durability without spending heavily on premium hardware. If you’re currently using an older smartphone, the T5 4G offers a significant upgrade in terms of battery life and dependable performance, but if 5G is a priority, consider waiting for other options.
