Vivo’s upcoming mid-ranger, the Vivo V70 FE, has appeared in a new leak, highlighting its expected pricing in India and a distinctive design feature. As per information shared by tipster Yogesh Brar with Smartprix, the phone will likely arrive in the Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 range in India. This is the first time we’re seeing a ‘Fan Edition’ variant in the popular mid-range V-series, and the V60 series included a V60e instead of an FE, which launched at Rs 29,999.
The new details also include a Vivo V70 FE ‘Northern Lights Purple’ variant featuring Vivo’s Darkness Glow material, which is a luminous rear panel that emits a subtle glow in low-light conditions after light exposure. A Monsoon Blue option is also anticipated in India.
The device has already launched in Indonesia, providing a clear idea of its specifications. The V70 FE positions itself below the standard V70 and V70 Elite in Vivo’s lineup, with noticeable differences in performance. It is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset, aligning it more with upper mid-range devices than full flagships. It handles daily tasks effectively but is not optimised for high-performance demands.
The battery is a 7,000mAh capacity with 90W charging, exceeding the 6,500mAh batteries in the other V70 models. This is in line with a growing emphasis on extended battery life across this segment and even higher, where 7,000mAh has become an unofficial baseline. The camera system features a 200MP main sensor with optical image stabilisation, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 32MP front camera. Vivo’s Aura Light ring flash supports improved portrait photography, though it lacks the Zeiss branding of higher-end models. The display is a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, along with IP68 and IP69 ratings, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and options up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.
In Indonesia, pricing begins at IDR 6,499,000 for the 8GB + 256GB variant, which is around Rs 35,000 when converted. It reaches around Rs 40,000 (converted) for higher configurations, closely matching the rumoured Indian pricing. The V70 FE will enter a competitive segment alongside devices like the Nothing Phone 4a series, Redmi Note 15 Pro series, Realme 16 Pro series, where competitors prioritise balanced performance and software experience along with design. Vivo also emphasises design, besides battery endurance, and camera resolution, but real world results will give a clearer picture.
Those prioritizing battery life, high-resolution imaging, and a unique design will find the V70 FE suitable. Individuals seeking stronger performance may prefer alternatives with Snapdragon processors in the same price range. Official details on the India launch remain unconfirmed.
