Vivo X300 series leaks hint at first-ever ‘Max’ flagship alongside Ultra
Vivo appears to be widening its flagship smartphone strategy in 2026, moving beyond its usual focus on a single “Ultra” model to a more layered premium lineup. After the Chinese Spring Festival, both Vivo and OPPO are expected to take the wraps off their next-generation flagships, and a new leak now offers an early look at Vivo’s upcoming X300 series, including what could be its first “Max” branded model. The Vivo X200 Ultra is already positioned as the most premium and expensive model in the flagship lineup. What Vivo intends to deliver with a new ‘Max’ variant now raises questions about how much further the company can push its high-end offerings.
According to Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station (via), several new Vivo phones have received China’s SRRC (State Radio Regulation Commission) certification. The certified model numbers reportedly include Vivo V2547A, V2547DA, and V2548A, all of which are said to belong to the Vivo X300 lineup.

Based on the leak, the Vivo V2547A is linked to the Vivo X300 Ultra, while the V2547DA appears to be a variant of the same phone with Beidou satellite communication support. The third model, V2548A, is said to belong to the Vivo X300 Max. This is the first time Vivo has been tipped to use the “Max” branding in its flagship X series, and the device is believed to be the same phone that earlier leaks referred to as the Vivo X300s.
Recent information from the same source suggests that the Vivo X300 Max could feature a large 6.78-inch flat OLED 1.5K display with very thin bezels. It’s also tipped to feature an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, which isn’t a surprise considering the premiumness of the phone. On the rear, the phone may carry a circular camera module housing a 200MP primary sensor, alongside an ultra-wide camera and a periscope telephoto lens.
The Vivo X300 Max is likely to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset, as reports suggest that the more powerful “Plus” version of the chip has been cancelled. One of the standout upgrades could be battery life, with the X300 Max rumoured to pack a massive 7,000mAh battery, aligning with a growing industry trend of flagship phones focusing more on endurance alongside performance and camera quality. 7,000mAh battery capacities are starting to get common, but on a premium flagship, it’s still a standout feature.
The leaked specifications doesn’t really paint a picture on how the Vivo X300 Max is different from the X300 lineup or the upcoming X300 Ultra. Vivo could also position the X300 Max below the Ultra model. The Vivo X300 Ultra could be one of the heaviest Ultra-class smartphones to date. This weight is said to reflect a hardware-focused design, likely driven by large camera modules, premium materials, and high-capacity batteries.
While the Vivo X300 Ultra is tipped to launch internationally in the second quarter of the year, the X300 Max is currently expected to remain exclusive to China. If that holds true, Indian buyers may only see the Ultra, which is also good enough as it would be the first time Vivo is bringing the Ultra model from its flagship lineup to the country. Until pricing and India-specific launch plans are confirmed, buyers may want to wait, especially as Vivo continues to strengthen its flagship presence and refine its lineup to cater to different types of premium smartphone users.
Things might get even more interesting with Vivo’s flagship lineup as the brand may skip the X400 branding entirely, and moving straight to the X500 series, which is expected to launch early somewhere around September or October this year. The X500 lineup could also include an Ultra variant may arrive sooner than previously anticipated, according to tipster Smart Pikachu.
