Vivo X300 Ultra India launch expected with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, 200MP quad camera setup, and more

Highlights
  • Vivo X300 Ultra has been rumoured to launch in China next month, alongside the X300 Max.
  • It’s tipped that the X300 Ultra will also hit Indian shores.
  • The handset will reportedly rock Qualcomm’s flagship chipset, a quad-rear camera setup, a 7,000mAh battery, and more.

The highly anticipated Vivo X300 Ultra could debut in India after its alleged China launch next month, following the country’s spring festival, which concludes on March 3rd. The phone is tipped to debut alongside the Vivo X300 Max. While it is yet to be confirmed, tipster Gadgetsdata (aka Debayon Roy) claims that the Vivo X300 Ultra will debut globally, as well as in India. Key specifications of the Vivo X300 Ultra have also been revealed, alongside the launch details. As expected, it will be more powerful than the previously launched Vivo X300 Pro (review) and is likely to compete against the Ultra and Pro Max models of Samsung and Apple, respectively.

Upgrade in everyway

It seems the Vivo X300 Ultra’s hardware will not share its traits with the X300 Pro. The tipster claims the Ultra will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which is built on the advanced 3nm process and has an edge over its closest rival, MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC. The chipset tops the benchmark scores and impressive performance in day-to-day usage, outperforming Apple’s A19 Pro chipset.

The X300 Ultra may also outshine in battery. The handset is rumoured to pack a massive 7,000mAh battery, which is bigger than its younger sibling, X300 Pro, paired with 100W wired and 40W wireless fast charging. If this holds true, it could easily be one of the most endurance-focused premium phones around, without forcing users to wait long at the charger.

On the front, Vivo may equip the device with a large 6.82-inch 2K LTPO OLED display. It’s said to be a flat panel, which suggests flat edges, similar to its previous X300-series models. The LTPO tech should help balance smooth scrolling with battery efficiency. An IP69 water and dust resistance rating is also tipped, alongside a USB 3.2 Type-C port for faster data transfers.

Cameras, as expected from Vivo’s Ultra lineup, could be the main talking point. The handset is said to sport a quad-rear camera setup, with an upgraded 200MP primary sensor for improved details – putting it in line with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra’s main camera. That lens will be paired with a familiar 200MP periscope telephoto sensor, 50MP ultrawide unit, and a 5MP sensor focused on improving colour accuracy.

For selfies and video calls, the Vivo X300 Ultra is tipped to sport a 50-megapixel front camera. If Vivo’s image processing lives up to expectations, this could be a very capable setup for both photography enthusiasts and everyday users alike.

That’s all we know so far about the Vivo X300 Ultra. The specifications are in line with the previous leaks and rumours. More concrete details should emerge once Vivo makes things official. But if you have been itching to buy an ultra-premium smartphone, the Vivo X300 Ultra is worth waiting for. As always, stay tuned to 91mobiles for all the updates.
