The company has now confirmed that the upcoming Vivo X300s will pack a 7,100mAh battery, the largest ever used in a phone from the flagship X-series lineup.
The device is expected to arrive alongside the Vivo X300 Ultra in the coming weeks, which the company briefly teased earlier this month during Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona. The X-series has usually been known for its camera-first approach, but the X300s seems to lean more toward battery life and multimedia. A 7,100mAh battery would be a noticeable step up for the series and could appeal to users who spend a lot of time gaming, watching videos, or simply want a phone that comfortably lasts through heavy daily use. When Vivo launched its Vivo X300 and X300 Pro, the battery life remained within the 6,500mAh mark, which was lower than what the competition was offering then. With the X300s, the company seems to be compensating and coming up to speed with other Android OEMs who’ve unofficially made 7,000mAh the baseline for their flagships.
Vivo has also confirmed several other features of the phone. The X300s will come with a 6.78-inch flat display with a 144Hz refresh rate, making it the first phone in the X-series lineup to reach that refresh rate. According to the company, the screen will support native 144fps gameplay in certain MOBA titles, suggesting that gaming performance is a clear focus.
The phone will also include symmetrical dual stereo speakers, a custom vibration motor, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. Vivo has also confirmed USB 3.2 Gen 1 support, which should offer faster data transfer speeds compared with the USB 2.0 connections still used on many smartphones.
The X300s will replace the Vivo X200s in the lineup and will sit alongside the standard X300, Pro, and Ultra models. Vivo executives had apparently considered naming the device the ‘X300 Max’ internally due to the scale of upgrades, but eventually decided to stick with the familiar ‘s’ branding used in previous generations.
Leaked specifications suggest the phone could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset. The device is also rumoured to feature a 200MP Zeiss-tuned camera sensor along with a 50MP periscope telephoto lens for zoom photography. Charging support of 90W wired and 40W wireless has also been mentioned in reports, although vivo has not confirmed those details yet.
The X300s appears aimed at people who want a large-screen flagship that balances battery life, performance, and multimedia features without moving all the way up to the Ultra model. Users mainly interested in the very best camera hardware in the lineup may still prefer the X300 Ultra, while those who prioritise gaming, media consumption, or long battery life could find the X300s the more practical option.
