Vivo X500 could get a different camera design than Pro models

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the Vivo X500 Pro models are expected to retain the large circular camera module seen on the X300 series. The standard Vivo X500 is also tipped to feature a circular camera module, but with a different placement. Instead of sitting at the centre like on the Pro models, it could be positioned in the upper-left corner of the rear panel.

This would help the Vivo X500 stand apart from its Pro siblings and give it a more distinctive look. However, Vivo’s flagship camera modules are typically quite large due to the sensors used, so it remains to be seen how the company will accommodate a similarly capable setup with this new placement. Also, it’s not clear why Vivo plans to adopt a slightly different design for the X500.

The Vivo X500 is tipped to feature a 6.59-inch display, which would be bigger than the X300’s compact 6.31-inch screen. Instead, the Vivo X500 Pro will get the compact 6.37-inch display, while the Pro Max will offer a 6.85-inch display, the largest in the lineup. With three different screen sizes, the X500 models offer variety and options to users, depending on their preference and use case. The X500 lineup is said to feature extremely narrow bezels, suggesting a more immersive experience. The displays could support 1.5K or 2K resolution and refresh rates up to 144Hz. This would be an upgrade over the X300 series’ 120Hz refresh rate.

Vivo’s flagship lineup is expected to debut later this year. This time too, three models are expected, but with slight changes, as mentioned above. Vivo is known for offering one of the best cameras on its flagships, and the same is expected from the X500 lineup. For now, the Vivo X500 series could be worth keeping an eye on if you’re looking for a flagship camera phone. Given these are early leaks, waiting for official announcements and reviews is advisable before making any pre-order decisions.
