  • The Vivo Y11 and Y21 5G are set to be entry-level 5G phones.

  • The launch date of the phones could be announced soon.

Vivo looks to be refreshing its budget Y-series, with the Vivo Y11 5G and Vivo Y21 5G turning up on the UAE’s TDRA certification database. The listings confirm model numbers V2575 and V2553 respectively, and suggest a global launch is nearing for the phones.

The two phones were also spotted earlier on Malaysia’s SIRIM platform, pointing to a broader global rollout. The certifications do not reveal specifications, but the Y-series has traditionally focussed on entry-level buyers who prioritise battery life, dependable performance and affordable pricing.

Vivo’s recent Y-series launches offer some ideas on what to expect from the phones. The Vivo Y31d, which launched last month in select markets, focussed on endurance with its 7,200mAh battery and a large display. By adding 5G to the Y11 and Y21, Vivo is updating its most affordable lineup to match shifting buyer expectations.

Historically, the Y21 sits slightly above the Y11 in Vivo’s lineup, usually bringing small improvements in performance or camera capability. If that pattern continues, the Y21 5G may offer a more capable chipset or better imaging hardware, while the Y11 5G serves as the more accessible option. Vivo has not confirmed these details yet.

If the phones arrive in India, they will enter a crowded budget 5G space that includes the Redmi 15C 5G, Samsung Galaxy F70e and Realme’s P-series. A launch in the sub-Rs 15,000 range would position the Y11 5G and Y21 5G as practical options for first-time 5G users and those upgrading from older 4G phones. Vivo’s cheapest 5G phone in India is currently the Vivo Y19, which launched in May 2025 at Rs 10,499. Other budget options include the Vivo Y19s and Vivo T4 Lite 5G.

With regulatory approvals now in place, the official specifications and launch timelines of the Vivo Y11 and Y21 should be announced by the company in the coming days.
