Vivo Y600 was spotted on the Google Play Console earlier this month. The smartphone is now officially confirmed to debut in China next week. Vivo has also revealed that the Y600 will pack a massive 10,000mAh battery, which will be its highlight. Vivo Y600 will be the third phone in the lineup, following the Y600 Pro, Y600 Turbo, and Y600i. All three phones stand out for their battery capacities ranging from 8,000mAh to 10,200mAh.
The Vivo Y600 is set to launch in China on October 30th. Pre-orders for the phone will also go live next week on October 26th. The smartphone is so far confirmed only for China, so it’s not clear if it will arrive in other markets or not. However, the Vivo Y600’s design and specifications are similar to the Vivo S2 FE, which launched in India earlier this month. So it’s likely that it’s the same phone but with different branding.
The Vivo Y600’s highlight is undoubtedly its massive 10,000mAh battery. The brand also claims that the Y600 set a Guinness World Record for the longest continuous livestream test, where the phone ran for 32 hours and 37 minutes. We’ll have to test the phone in real-world scenarios to see how well the battery is optimised, but just based on its capacity, we can expect multi-day usage.
Vivo has shared the Y600’s design, and the phone can be seen in white and blue colours. It has a square-shaped camera module at the back with a gold rim bordering it. The phone also has flat edges with the power button and volume key on the right side. The design is very similar to the Vivo S2 FE, albeit in a different colour.
The Vivo Y600 is also tipped to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset, a 50MP rear camera, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. These specs are also similar to the Vivo S2 FE, further adding to the speculation that the Vivo Y600 is indeed a rebrand. If that’s the case, the Vivo Y600 would be a good pick for buyers who want a battery-focused phone. If battery life is your absolute top priority and you’re in China, this could be worth considering, but waiting for full reviews is always advisable.
