Vivo has been on a launch spree in China, especially with its Y-series. It recently launched the Vivo Y600 Pro with a massive 10,200mAh battery, the biggest yet from the brand. Now, Vivo has taken the wraps off another Y-series smartphone, the Y600 Turbo. This handset also houses a large 9,020mAh battery, making it one of the biggest in the segment. Here’s all you need to know about the Vivo Y600 Turbo.
Vivo Y600 Turbo specifications
The Vivo Y600 Turbo’s highlight is undoubtedly its massive 9,020mAh battery. With this capacity, the phone should easily last for two days even with heavy usage. We’ll still have to see how Vivo has optimised the phone for the battery. The Y600 Turbo’s battery is also claimed to retain at least 80 percent health after 1,200 charge cycles. The smartphone comes with 90W fast charging support for quick top-ups. You also get reverse wired charging to power smaller devices or even phones. The Vivo Y600 Turbo would compete with the OnePlus Nord 6, which boasts a 9,000mAh battery.

Up front is a large 6.83-inch 1.5K (2800×1260 pixels) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 5,000 nits peak brightness. With these display specs, the Vivo Y600 Turbo would be great for content consumption, while also offering vibrant and bright visuals. Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. This is a popular mid-range chipset known for capable performance for regular to moderate tasks.
For optics, you get a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor at the back. It has an 8MP front camera for selfies. This camera setup is basic for casual photography as it lacks even an ultra-wide sensor. Those looking for versatility may want to check out alternatives. The phone runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 out of the box, and comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings.
In China, the Vivo Y600 Turbo starts at CNY 2,299, which translates to around Rs 32,300. There’s no word on a global release yet, but Vivo’s Y-series is popular here in India, so we could see the Y600 Turbo arrive. The smartphone is clearly aimed at people who prefer a large battery, a capable chipset, and a large and bright display for gaming and multimedia. As for those who want better cameras, they might want to check out alternatives. We should still wait for reviews to see how the Vivo Y600 Turbo compares to rivals, since the mid-range segment has several options.
