The Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 15 (0301-RD9) carries a classic look and impresses with an Intel Core i5 processor but disappoints with the poor RAM and lack of any preloaded OS. The sole positive points are powerful the tray in Rambo drive, good battery backup and fingerprint sensor. You can find notebooks with better configuration in this range.

The Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 15 (0301-RD9) poses a 15.6-inch HD LED backlit Glare display which looks rich with enhanced brightness while playing games and videos but can turn out to be too reflective for your eyes. It offers comfortable visuals with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. 

Under the hood, the machine is equipped with a 1st generation Intel Core i5 processor racing at 2.5GHz and based on HM55 Express chipset. Assisting it is a mere 2GB DDR3 RAM operating at 1066MHz and expandable up to 8GB via 2 user accessible memory slots. Rich videos and movies are managed by the preloaded Intel HD 3000 GPU. It lacks any integrated user friendly OS.

Camera, Storage and Others

The Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 15 (0301-RD9) features a 0.3MP webcam in order to take care of the video calling needs of the user. The 500GB SATA hard disk offers plenty of space for creating a library of files.

The Tray in Rambo drive is one of the major attractions of this machine and allows you to stream and load files on disks smoothly. It has fingerprint sensor so that you don't need to type in passwords for unlocking your computer.
