The Lenovo Essential G50-70 (59-427097) Laptop homes a 15.6-inch HD LED Glossy display with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. It comes in classy black coloured body with 24.8mm thickness and weighs just about 2.4kg. A 2GB dedicated AMD Radeon R5 M230 graphics come in handy to meet all the visual and multimedia requirements of the device. An AccuType keyboard and touchpad with multi-touch gesture support are the input devices.

The Lenovo Essential G50-70 (59-427097) operates on 64-bit Windows 8.1 operating system. It is fueled by Intel Core i7-4510U fourth generation processor clocked at speed of 2GHz. The onboard memory is 8GB DDR3 RAM which is not expandable further. The machine is also equipped with 2GB of dedicated graphics memory.
