Lenovo essential G580 (59-337031) Laptop (Core i3 2nd Gen/4 GB/500 GB/DOS/1)

Pros: 1. Best gaming experience in this price range. Enough to fulfill your average gaming appetite. I have tried NFS Most Wanted 2012 version on highest graphic settings and it does not lag. And mind you it's been more than a year since I bought this laptop and it still works like a charm. But if you want to play all the new game titles like GTA 5 etc, you are simply looking in the wrong price range. 2. i3, i5, i7 processors are just specs on paper, if you are an average user like me, don't bother yourself with these little differences. Average user for me would be - Watch HD movies, browsing, music, gaming all titles till 2012 should work fine etc - this laptop can handle it easily. Cons: 1. It's bulky. For me that wasn't a problem coz I don't move it around much. it simply moves from table to my bed and nothing more. I rarely take it with me outside. 2. Buttons and trackpad clicks feel cheap. If you want aesthetics and premium feel - this is not for you. But if you want a no BS device which does what it's supposed to in the minimum price possible - go for it. 3. Screen is reflective. You have to take care that the ambient light source in the room stays behind your laptop screen. During daytime you have to keep its screen facing away from windows to have a clear view. I didn't know that before buying but I am able to manage anyways. Last thing - my keyboard got faulty just 15 days before my warranty was going to expire, some keys just stopped working out of nowhere. But I got a keyboard replacement within 7 days from Lenovo, no questions asked - so no complaints there. It's been a year and I still feel quite satisfied with my investment.

I WAS BIT WORRIED ABOUT ITS LOOKS AND GRAPHIC QUALITY..(AS I HAVE NOT SEEN IT PHYSICALLY ,,AND I AM FIRST TO BUY IT ON FLIPKART...WRITING THIS REVIEW AFTER APPROX 3MONTHS) ,,,BUT IT TOOK AWAY MY ALL CONCERNS.. LET US TALK ABOUT FEW FEATURES... FUNCTIONING -- ITS FUNCTIONING ITS MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN G560 AND G570 ..(.I HAVE USED THEM IN MY FAMILY)..BCOZ OF I3 PROCESSOR...FIRST I WAS THINKING OF GOING TO I5 GENERATION..BUT THAN DONT SPEND YOUR BUCKS ON HIGH PROCESSING FEATURES YOU DOESNT USE MORE THAN 50% CAPACITY.... LOOKS---WELL I WOULD SAY FRANKLY,,DONT EXPECT APPLE,,ALIENWARE..SONY VIAO(SONY ONLY IMPROVES IT LOOKS AND PRICETAGS!!) OR SURFING ON NET (2.5HRS)ITS BATTERY LIFE IMPROVES SIGNIFICANTLY... OTHER FEATURES--- WELL CAMERA IS NOT MY COCERN,,CAMERAS ARE NEVER SO GUD IN LAPYS...SAME IS HERE ..TOUCHPAD IS DOTTED AND SMOOTH..ACCU TYPE KEYPAD WORKS WELL IT INCREASES TYPING SPEED..THOUGH NOT LED DSPLAY LIKE ONE IS OFFERED BY SAMSUNG IN SIMILAR RATE..BUT THAN EVEN IT IS AS GUD AS LED... CONCLUSION-- FOR BUYERS LIKE ME WHO HAVE TO BUY A LAPTOP ONLY ONCE FOR SOME YEARS..ITS THE BEST...LOOK I HAVE TOOK MY TIME SO THAT I CAN GIVE A PROPER REVIEW ...I HAVE CONSIDERED SAMSUNG , DELL ,SONY, HP LAPTOPS WHILE FINALISING IT...SO ITS UPTO YOU..!!
