Lenovo is a very strong contender in the laptop market with its aggressively priced products and excellent after sales services, and the ThinkPad X131e is sure to be an attractive option for everyone who is in constant travel and needs a good laptop without burning a hole in the pockets.

Lightweight and Power packed

Display and Design

The Lenovo ThinkPad X131e is a sleek, sharp laptop with a screen size of 11.6-inches HD LED anti glare display and a display resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. Weighing at only 1.7 kgs, this may be a lightweight, but it packs a serious punch when you put it to any task. Also being a pure LED display, this consumes extremely low battery power while giving stunning visual output.

Processor and Configuration

The Thinkpad is powered by an AMD Dual Core E2-1800 processor based on the AMD a68M chipset variant. This is clocked at 1.7 GHz. This is in conjunction with 4GB of DDR3 RAM which is pre integrated, but the availability of DIMM slots enables it to be expanded to 8GB. The laptop lacks a dedicated graphics card, but it is made up for by ATI Radeon HD 7340 series of GPU, which ensures that you have no problem whatsoever.

Multimedia and Storage

The Laptop comes enabled with a 1 MP primary front facing camera which is capable to shoot videos at 720 pixels and provide an excellent source for video conferencing over skype and other messengers. The spill resistant keyboard is a boon and you don't have to constantly fetter over it. Stereo speakers and Dolby Home theater v2 provides excellent media output. The laptop, however, lacks a DVD writer in bid to make it thin and light. For storage, a 320GB hard disc running at 5400 is inbuilt. 

Connectivity and Battery

Lenovo know how important are connectivity options for any laptop and they have integrated the latest, such as Bluetooth v4.0, WiFi b/g/n/, 2 USB 3.0 slots, 1 USB 2.0 slot and even an HDMI port to comfortably connect to the internet and share data. This is powered by a massive 6 cell Li-Ion Battery, which is able to run for 6 hours with ease, making it a very handy travel companion.
