Verdict

The Lenovo Ideapad Y700 is a premium laptop with some really good processing configuration, strong battery backup and amazing display. It also is a delight for the gamers as it comes with a dedicated GPU and at the same ample RAM goes a long way in multitasking with more ease. Lack of fingerprint scanners might be the only flaw with this device. Thus, if you are looking for a premium laptop which is high on performance then you can for this device, but keeping in mind it does not provide an above par storage capacity.

Display and Storage

The Lenovo Ideapad Y700 flaunts a 15.6inch Full HD LED Backlit IPS Multi-touch display with a native screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels which for a clearer display. When it comes to the storage aspect, the device comes with a storage capacity of 512 SSD which on one hand may not be an excellent storage capacity but still, it can come in real handy while storing data and media files. It is available in Black colour and weighs of around 2.8kg.

Configuration and Connectivity

On the configuration front, the laptop is driven by an Intel Core i7-6700HQ (6th gen) processor coupled with 16GB DDR4 RAM which makes multitasking almost seamless. The processor operates at a clock speed of 2.6Ghz. Now, the presence of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M 4GB dedicated GPU is nothing less than a bonus for the avid gamers. When it comes to connectivity, the device comes with regular connectivity options like- Wireless LAN 802.1 a/b/g/n/ac, and Bluetooth v4.1.

Battery, Camera and Input Device

The battery aspect of the device is equipped with a powerful Li-ion battery which invariably translates to an amazing battery backup.for video calling a front webcam is positioned just at the top of the screen. As far as the input device is concerned it comes with regular input devices - a touchpad with multitouch gesture support and a backlit keyboard.
