Micromax has again succeeded in ensuring that one gets good specs in the budget range, be it processing power, connectivity options or battery. However, what really sets this device head and shoulders above its competitors is the display, which at 4.5 inches is worthy of being on a high-end device. On the other hand, it is disappointing to see Micromax sticking to the slightly outdated Gingerbread OS. Yet for those who do not need the latest Android, this device has everything one can hope for in a budget device.
Display and Configuration
Micromax's new baby comes with a 4.5 inches HWVGA (480 x 854 pixels resolution) TFT display, having 16M colour depth for an excellent visual experience. The device runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Processing power on the A40 is decent thanks to the 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM that the company has provided this device.
Camera and Storage
The 2MP camera on the device is capable of clicking fast and smooth photos. A 0.3MP front camera has also been provided to ensure video chatting, Skype, etc. The internal storage of 512MB is sufficient to store the average user's apps and their data. User memory can be expanded using microSD card, up to a limit of 32GB.
Connectivity and Battery
1. Get 10% cash back on ICICI Bank Credit Card EMI on select products. Min purchase Rs. 7,000. Max. cashback Rs. 1,500.

I am quite usual to onilne shopping and this was the first with Flipkart. I purchased the above thru Flipkart. I was amazed that, the product got delivered before the time and I was so impressed with the promptness of the service.nMicromax has always been my preferred brand and I have got only good track record with 2-3 models. I value them, as they give value for our money. Exactly the same with Bolt A40. I would say the best product for such a price. nAlso, I am happy with the quality of the product. I should recommend Flipkart to my friends & relatives.
