With the Reno 10x Zoom, the brand has put its best foot forward to make a dent in the hard-to-stand-out premium category
Jun 17 2019 By Nitansh RastogiAs mentioned above, the Reno series isn`t the first attempt by OPPO to make a mark in the super-premium space. And if you`ve been following the review, it`s evident that the Reno 10x Zoom manages to do that quite well. The company has kept its bases covered to ensure that its latest can compete against the recent crop of Android flagships drawing power from Qualcomm`s Snapdragon 855 chipset. It ticks all the right boxes, and tops them off with an innovative Shark Fin pop-up selfie camera and 10x Hybrid Zoom – all available at a starting price of Rs 39,990.
Read Full ReviewPlease don't buy...if you are looking for update... this flagship device currently run on colour os 6...also Android 9...many ads and third party app... security very low... please don't buy...honest review...
I purchased the jet black color model on seeing the 10k offer for prepaid transactions only for the fact that it has the SD855 with a big battery and a stylish shark fin pop up camera. I'm using OP5 for the past 2nhalf yrs and still running very good snappy OXYGEN OS which I believe OPPO should improve in the COLOR OS. I had the option of throwing OP5 for exchange, however I din wanna exchange as I could not get another phone for the exchange price (7.75k) which was offered. OPPO reno 10x zoom weighs on the higher side to accommodate the bigger battery and the shark fin camera which is taking a little time for me to get used to it after using OP5. Apps load super quick and I'm very much satisfied with the performance as the SD855 does the job well. App management is also good however the OS needs real lookup as adjusting to color os from oxygen OS is a real difficulty. I expect atleast the gestures to come to Color OS as I got used to it in OXYGEN OS and finding it too difficult to change tracks without it while hearing music. The phone doesn't come with a 3.5mm jack which is a downside but a pair of good headphones which is type C is bundled long with the set. Dolby atmos feature is presently not available for Bluetooth headsets which is again a downside. Video clarity is good for the FHD+ resolution. The blacks are inky too. After streaming for 2hrs in Spotify and 2hrs of video usage and normal calls and whatsapp, I find 50% battery left at the end of the day which is really nice. I've stopped playing games in the past yr and a half and so, I don't know the battery back up, phone getting warm related reviews. The phone comes with a VOOC 3.0 charger 20W which charges the phone in an hr and 18mins which is pretty good. However I'm a little disappointed now as the price is down to 25k in just 3 days after the offer of 26k for axis bank and prepaid transactions were offered and flipkart doesn't allow to return the piece as replacement option alone is available. Overall, I would recommend this phone for the big screen, good battery, stylish shark fin selfie and last but not least SD855 processor (as 5g will be rolled out in another 2 to 3yrs min, SD 865 will also be outdated at tht time and hence not so worried abt not having latest processor)
Other likely features of the Reno Ace include 90Hz screen refresh rate and 5G.

The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition does not have a removable back cover. The non-removable back cover helps the manufacturer create a sleek design, lightweight and good looking product. It also helps with recovering a stolen phone, since the battery could not be removed. This is the reason the SIM slots are on the side these days. You can simply follow these steps to insert the SIM card:
