Best product by Samsung, excellent performance, display, speed. I'm using this laptop since last 4 years without any issue. Able to play all latest games on it without any problem, work with heavy application like 20+ chrome windows, photoshop, software development IDE (NetBeans, Eclipse etc), Music, web servers, db servers all together and it handle all of them like a piece of cake. A solid machine for every one I must recommend.
no problems at all . smooth performance. handles everything like butter. sound is pretty loud with JBL speakers + subwofers on the back of laptop ,, Pros: i7 ivy bridge (no need for introduction) Nvidia GT650M 2GB DDR3 with optimus technology Samsung near fullHD 1600x900 non glossy screen with 300 nit of brightness(no other laptop in market has this specs under this price range)HD movies are pleasure to watch in. Blue Ray Ready for future use Advantages:- 1)Stronger processor i.e. i7(3rd gen.) 2)RAM- 8Gb(required for games like the secret world and max payne3 3)HDD- 1Tb 4)Most imp.is stronger graphics card, the GT 650M 2GB delivers ultimate gaming performance,i have played latest games o this laptop. And,can assure that its battery also lasts longer than Dell,Hp CPU - Amazing performer which can simply outperform a number of recently released desktop CPUs. With 22nm technology, power consumption of a quad-core has come down to 45W and we will get the same CPU for both desktop and laptop in very near future! CPU switches to 1.2GHz when idling and boosts upto 3.3GHz (only one core) when more power is demanded (you will see varying speeds depending on the load like 1.2, 1.6, 2.9, 3.1 etc). This base clock switching of Ivy bridge helps the laptop to stay very cool while normal usage (you can feel this laptop very very cool if you are just surfing internet or drafting a word document). And it heats up quickly may be becoming very hot while playing a latest game. Some competitors offer 3615QM (35W) which is good in terms of power consumption but a little less powerful compared to 3610QM. Intel HD 4000 graphics is enough powerful, again the advantage is less power consumption as it is an integrated unit of i7. GPU - No doubt GT 650M is really impressive, may be more manufacturers will start supporting it when a stable driver is available with no beta badge. One interesting thing I noticed, GPU is always staying cooler than CPU after the latest BIOS update (P05AAA). It is also almost twice as fast as 630M which Lenovo has to offer in their high-end models. 650M struggles a bit when all anti-aliasing and high quality settings are turned on (Nvidia control panel) but I think that's acceptable provided the output quality is hardly noticeable and Nvidia's performance settings are just fine enough. Nvidia's Optimus is again helping to keep this laptop very cool as external GPU goes off immediately after finishing a game or graphic intensive application. We can also see GPU switching core and memory frequencies as the demand varies. Though all these can help laptop comparatively cool, I saw this laptop heating up too much when both CPU and GPU are fully loaded. Thanks to its design, heat is not much spread to other body parts but directly pumped out through the air vent on left side. Still I feel, for the power it can produce, Samsung needs to work on a better cooling solution. I seriously doubt the lifespan of this machine if continuously used for heavy gaming without a proper cooling aid.
