The Xperia Z2 Tablet is feature packed, powerful and sturdy. Although it may appear flimsy, it's designed for outdoor usage, and is therefore a good choice for travellers and students.

A sturdy yet sleek tablet

Display, design and configuration


The second gen Sony Xperia tablet has a large 10.1-inch full HD display, with a pixel density of 224ppi. The touchscreen is shatterproof and scratch-resistant too. Measuring 6.4mm, it's one of the thinnest tablet available, and is very light at just 439g. Like its predecessor, it is also waterproof and dustproof.


OS and configuration


Running Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the tablet is customised with Sony's own UI. The dated OS can be upgraded to Android Marshmallow It features 3D surround speakers, Clear Audio+ and digital noise cancellation for an improved media experience. The tablet is powered by the latest Snapdragon 801 chipset clocked at 2.3GHz, complemented by 3G RAM and an Adreno 330 GPU.


Camera and storage


An 8.1MP primary camera and 2.2MP secondary camera take care of imaging. There is 16GB of onboard storage, with an option to expand it further with a microSD card.


Connectivity and battery


The Xperia Z2 Tablet offers WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA and NFC for connectivity. A sim card slot is provided for LTE connectivity.It is fuelled by a 6,000mAh battery.
