While the idea of a cloud-powered device is not new, the dual-mode functionality the Fire One offers is noble, especially considering its tiny price tag
Nov 12 2014 By Rahul GuptaInitially we felt that Firefox is not as refined or evolved as Android and therefore it is going to be hard to like this new device and the ecosystem. However, after having used the Firefox phone for quite some time now, we can easily say that the device, no matter if it is not powerful or does not have the looks to kill, does manage to create its own place where feature phone users presently are looking for devices that can offer near smartphone experience to them.Spice Fire One is technically a bit advanced as compared to its competitors, the Intex Cloud FX (first impressions) and the Alcatel’s offering, especially in the camera department, though the rest of the specifications and even the design principals remain the same. In addition, the phone does deliver a day’s worth battery backup, decent performance and multitasking options for the users, but do not expect too much as it still is a low-cost mobile device.Have some doubts about the device and Firefox OS? We have answered them in our Spice Firefox Mi-FX 1 FAQsTo sum it all up, Spice Fire One with the Firefox OS is a good starter device for those who are trying to enter the smartphone domain and want a device that could give them a taste of this world without burdening them with a hefty price tag. Compared to an Android smartphone, it is slower but only if the internet connection is slow. However if you are moving away from feature phones, this is the perfect reason and the excuse as well.
Read Full Reviewi don't know why people have rated this phone so less. It has low specs because the OS is light weight. How can you expect all the features in a 2000 rupees phone. Even a ten thousand rupees phone hangs. I have used android since the Eclair version, believe me it had a LOT of short comings. Firefox is on the path of being there.nIf you want a phone with all the features, and no short comings please look else where.nI bought this product so I can use it for app development and use it as a backup phone. And I don't have ANY complaints about it.nBuy it if you want a low cost backup phone and would like to experience Firefox.
First of all, u cant expect a snapdragon 800 at 2000 bucks. This phone is good in every way.Regardless of what everyone has said,i am keeping my review positive...But better if u use it as the backup phone..nnPhone+travel charger+headphone with mic+data cable+silicon cover+4gb micro SD +screen guard+1yr warranty=Rs 2000...not bad huh!!...nnPros:nGood Battery backup.ni put the phone in airplane mode at around 2am the night with 100% battery. When i woke up at 10am in the morning,it was still 100%.nSo good standby backup.nNow using 2 sims, few calls and net suring on wifi...it has droppped to 65 % at 11pm.nBut net surfing is draining the battery fast.nHas a firefox Marketplace...Not much apps though...does fast whatever lit does...apps open and close preety fast.neasy interface with low memory requirements..nnnCons:nnLow audio quality with no equalizer settings panel...nDisplay not too goodnTouch is slownDoesnt have a physical back button like android....thats annoying...
