Despite being a low end notebook, the Toshiba Satellite C50D-A 60010 impresses with a host of features including a HD webcam, decent graphics and a voluminous hard disk. However, its chunky design can pose problems. Its configuration is efficient enough to handle simple tasks at ease.
Affordable yet efficient
Display and Design
 
The Toshiba Satellite C50D-A 60010 has been spotted with a 15.6 inch HD LED backlit display with Clear SuperView technology that enables you to enjoy bolder colors and sharper contrasts even under bright conditions. However, its WXGA resolution of 1366x768 pixels can make texts appear a bit bigger and videos blurred.
 
Its casing is coated with a luxurious pearl white color which looks quite good. The main problem is its thickness which is 33.3mm and can pose problems while carrying. The notebook is equipped with a tile keyboard and a touchpad with support for multiple gestures.
 
Processor and OS
 
On the inside, the laptop carries a 2 GHz AMD Dual Core A6-5200 processor built on AMD A68M chipset. The CPU is assisted by a standard 4GB DDR3 RAM which is expandable up to 16GB via the 2 user accessible slots. The graphics bit is handled by the 512MB ATI Radeon HD 8330 GPU. The laptop comes preloaded with Windows 8 OS of 64 bit architecture.
 
Camera, Storage and Multimedia
 
The Toshiba Satellite C50D-A 60010 ha san inbuilt HD webcam on board and provides sufficient space for storing all kinds of files through the SATA HDD of 750GB. You can even use the powerful but slim 8X SuperMulti DVD Drive for transferring info through discs.
 
The stereo speakers are powered by Toshiba Audio Enhancement technology to create the perfect ambience while watching movies and playing games.
 
Battery and Connectivity
 
The Toshiba Satellite C50D-A 60010 is quite impressive with its 6 cell Li-ion battery that can deliver up to 5 hours of continuous service. Connectivity options include WLAN, Ethernet, Bluetooth v4.0, 1 USB 2.0 port, 1 USB 3.0 port, HDMI out, digital media reader and VGA port.
