Toshiba Satellite L850-Y5310 Laptop (Core i7 3rd Gen/8 GB/750 GB/Windows 7/2)

I am very satisfied with the Laptop. There was a surprise for me. I expected the video card to be Radeon 7610M, but i got a 7670M instead. Very happy. The Windows (W7 HP) rating is 5.9 (lowest for the hard disk, since it is 5400rpm). Processor 7.6, RAM 7.8, Graphics and gaming graphics 6.8. What else do you need. I trust toshiba and toshiba only. I have used model Satellite A300 extensively for four and half years, during my Masters till now. I have used various processor intensive programs, unlike games, like Numerical simulations with Matlab, Labview, Mathcad etc. Also i had ran Abaqus6.8, ProE and Pro Mechanica. The A300 is working even now flawlessly. Not a single issue. The only other laptop that can beat or stand next is Thinkpad or an Asus. Rest all are crap (HP, Dell, Samsung, Sony). I found out that L850 is faster in running simulation when compared to HPZ400 WS, that i use at work. Awesome laptop. I recommend Toshiba to anybody, who wants reliability, life, ruggedness, and peace of mind. This laptop is also future proof to some extend. I am not a gamer, but i have seen the ratings for videocard, for popular 2012 games. The fps are good. 7670M is an entry level High graphics card, with very good openGL rating (CAD users will understand me, than gamers) I paid by credit card. The expected delivery date was 10 days from purchase. But again to my surprise, the laptop got delivered in 4 working days (including saturday). Excellent service.

This is to notify you all to beware before purchasing Toshiba Laptop. I’ve purchased Toshiba satellite laptop from Flipkart.com. All though the product is good but after sales service is pathetic. I’ve purchased the Laptop extend warranty, which needs an online registration. The online registration failed as there are various flaws in the online process 1) You can not process your extended warranty if your original warranty is not registered on the website (Toshiba India) 2) They will ask you to send the SCAN copy of your invoice and once you send they will keep you wait for long time(in my case almost 1.5 months) 3) If you ask them for updated on call centre (toll free number) they will return with the common answer (Sorry Sir our system is not working) Such a pathetic service. Don’t try to save 3-4 thousands.. Instead buy Dell / HP machines. Toshiba is pathetic. I am chasing the on call support from past 1.5 months and there is answer from Toshiba support (Its in process) WTF I already paid for extended warranty almost 4.5k for 2 years and my original warranty is now expired. This crap brand is harassing me and just earning money through extend warranty. Keep yourself away from this brand ….
