The Toshiba Satellite M840 -X2010 comes with a 14-inch HD LED backlit display featuring ClearView technology and a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. The 30mm thick body may appear chunky but is amazingly light at 1.98 kg and looks stylish with the Dressy turquoise finish designed with drape pattern. It is available in various appealing colors including gold blaze, pink blush, and blue horizon. The color extends over to the palm rest which is quite unique.
 
Processor and Platform
 
The Toshiba Satellite M840 -X2010 is powered by the 2nd generation Intel Core i3-2370M processor loaded on the HM76 Express chipset and sprinting at a speed of 2.4GHz. Assisting the CPU is a 2GB 1333MHz DDR3 RAM upgradable up to 8GB. The graphics bit is dealt by the Intel HD 3000 GPU. The presence of DOS calls for the need of installation of a user friendly OS.
 
Camera, Storage and Multimedia
 
The laptop has a front facing webcam and offers sufficient storage space with a 5400 rpm SATA HDD of 500GB. Enjoy top notch sound with the 16 bit stereo speakers functioning on HD SRS Premium sound. You can burn data on disks and play files instantly via the 8X DVD SuperMulti Drive supporting dual layers. There is a tiled keyboard and touchpad supporting multiple gestures.
 
Battery and Connectivity
 
The 6 cell Li-ion battery fuelling the laptop promises to run continuously for up to 3 hours. Connectivity and networking options preloaded in the Toshiba Satellite M840 -X2010 come in the form of Ethernet, WLAN, Bluetooth v4.0, 2 USB 2.0 slots, one USB 3.0 port, RJ45 LAN, VGA port, digital media reader and HDMI out.
