OnePlus has launched the OnePlus Ace 6 in China as a performance-oriented follow-up to the Ace 5 with several upgrades over the predecessor. The device, which could debut worldwide as the OnePlus 15R, packs premium hardware features such as Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the same chip found inside last year’s flagship, the OnePlus 13.
OnePlus Ace 6 has a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen with a 165Hz refresh rate, flat edges, and a whopping 5,000 nits of peak brightness. It features an in-display 3D fingerprint sensor and some eye-protection features for extended viewing.
Beneath the surface, the phone has the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and as much as 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. There is also a special G2 gaming chip to help with enhanced graphics processing. The phone operates ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.
For photography, it has a dual rear camera system headlined by a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. For selfies and video calls, there is a 16-megapixel front camera.
OnePlus seems to have opted for durability and functionality with the Ace 6 sporting a metal frame and several ingress protection ratings — IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K. The 213g phone features the Plus Key, which can switch between ring modes or be personalised to execute actions like opening the camera, turning on the flashlight, or opening the AI Plus Mind space.
Supporting the equipment is a 7,800mAh battery, touted to be the biggest in its segment, with support for 120W fast wired charging. Wireless charging is not supported this time around.
OnePlus Ace 6 is priced at CNY 2,599 (approximately Rs.\ 32,300) for the 12GB + 256GB variant. It is also available in 16GB + 256GB (CNY 2,899), 12GB + 512GB (CNY 3,099), 16GB + 512GB (CNY 3,399), and 16GB + 1TB (CNY 3,899) models.
The phone will sell in China from October 30th through OPPO e-Shop, JD Mall, and other channels. It comes in Quicksilver, Flash White, and Black colour options.
