OriginOS 6 starts rolling out for Vivo X200 series in India

Highlights
  • The first rollout for OriginOS 6 in India has officially begun.
  • Vivo X200, X200 FE, X Fold5, and V60 are getting the update first.
  • More devices will be updated to OriginOS 6 by December this year.

Vivo has started rolling out the stable version of OriginOS 6 in India, starting with the Vivo X200 series. OriginOS 6 is based on Android 16, and it was launched globally last month. This update also marks the end of Funtouch OS in India, which was slightly different from OriginOS 6, which had been exclusive to China. According to the OriginOS 6 roadmap, the Vivo X200, X200 Pro, X200 FE, X Fold5, and V60 are getting the update first in India in early November.

Vivo India’s X handle shared the announcement confirming the rollout. From the replies to the post, we can see that the OriginOS 6 update has reached Vivo X200 Pro, but many X200 FE users have pointed out that they haven’t received it yet. Since the update has just started rolling out, it may take some time before it reaches all users. By mid-November, the update will be available to Vivo X100, X100 Pro, and X Fold3 Pro users.

The latest OriginOS 6 update focuses on speed, responsiveness, and personalisation. The new Origin Smooth Engine delivers up to 16 percent faster app launches, 41 percent quicker touch response, and steadier frame rates. Features like Memory Fusion and Dual Rendering ensure smooth multitasking and gaming performance.

On the design side, users get more freedom to customise their experience with a revamped home screen grid, resizable widgets, adaptive folders, and the new Vivo Sans2 font supporting 40+ languages. Subtle Dynamic Glow and Translucent Colour effects add depth, while Flip Cards bring photos to life with motion.

A new addition, Origin Island, acts as a smart on-screen shelf with live updates and shortcuts like Copy & Go and Drag & Go for easier multitasking. Productivity tools such as Office Kit and One-Tap Transfer make working across devices effortless.

Overall, the new software version should add more customisation, smoother animations, and new features to Vivo phones. As for the rest of the Vivo phones, the OriginOS 6 update rollout will continue in December this year and should reach all compatible devices by the first half of 2026.
