If you need a tablet that enables you to accomplish simple tasks smoothly and at the same time, serves the function of a phone, the Videocon VT79C is a nice option. It doesn't cost much but lacks any powerful feature to boast of.

The Videocon VT79C arrives with a 7.0-inch LCD multi touch display with a resolution of 600 x 1,024 pixels and a pixel density of 170ppi. The large display is definitely not too sharp and rich but is good for web browsing, business tasks as well as reading.

For driving its processes, the slate depends on a dual-core processor with a processing speed of 1.5GHz. It works in tandem with a paltry 512MB RAM which is bound to cause lags during heavy multitasking. It runs on Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS, which makes it a bit outdated in a world full of KitKat powered gadgets.

Camera and Storage

The Videocon VT79C, just like other affordable tablets, sports a 2MP digital camera at the back and a VGA snapper on the front. It comes with 4GB of internal memory and a microSD slot expandable up to 32GB.

Battery and Connectivity

The Videocon VT79C keeps the show running with a non-removable Li-Po battery of 3,000mAh. It has a single SIM slot which supports GPRS and EDGE networks. Other communication options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v2.1 and USB port.
