The BlackBerry Hub exhibits similar issues, though I think the concept is far more compelling. The most basic way to think about the Hub is as a unified inbox, except this inbox encompasses nearly every type of notification or message you will receive on the phone. Email from multiple accounts, BBMs of all types, SMS and MMS, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, phone calls, system notifications (such as app update notices), and more. Notifications or me...
Pros: Clean and solid hardware design BlackBerry 10 is a promising new OS Keyboard is surprisingly good
Cons: Third-party apps leave much to be desired New UI tricks don't always pay off Battery life is a serious concern
One cannot overstate the importance of this phone. This, the BlackBerry Z10, is the device upon which the fate of BlackBerry (formerly Research in Motion) hangs. That`s not to say that the company will disappear if the Z10 -- and the BlackBerry 10 OS that it contains -- is not a mass-market success. But if this phone does not do its job of extending the reach of the `Berry OS beyond those die-hard loyalists who have clung on to their Bolds and To...
The BlackBerry Z10 heralds the rebirth of a fallen leader in the smartphone market. It's a clean break from the past with a big touchscreen and novel OS, but the same business mentality that made it the favorite of office dwellers around the world. Except, this time BlackBerry has also added a dash of fun. BlackBerry's previous generation of touch-driven smartphones felt a lot like Nokia's early attempts to knock Symbian into shape for touchscree...
Verdict: With BlackBerry market share shrinking by the quarter, the Canadian company really needs a winner and the BlackBerry Z10 looks to have the potential to reverse the downward trajectory. It`s a well-designed, solid device with sleek design that has all...
On January 30, 2013, RIM (Research in Motion) announced that the company will officially be known as BlackBerry....
Pros: RIM dug deep to give the slick-looking BlackBerry Z10 enough features to satisfy both consumers and professionals -- like a good camera and a sharp user interface.
Cons: The Z10`s unintuitive gesture paradigm creates a learning curve, and a long list of OS inefficiencies and omissions sour the experience. The bare-bones maps app and a deficit of camera features are two examples.
Verdict: Though it`s not quite enough to draw committed iPhone or Android owners, the BlackBerry Z10`s modern design and features give BlackBerry fans what they`ve hungered for....
The BlackBerry Z10 was the first handset from the company formerly known as RIM, now renamed BlackBerry, to run its new operating system BlackBerry 10, and there was much more on the line here than simply making a few pennies – arguably the company`s survival rested on the success of this device and the BlackBerry Q10. It`s no secret that BlackBerry is on the rocks, with the company even admitting that it hasn`t been in the best shape of la...
Pros: Great web browsing, Expandable storage, Decent camera, Messaging hub,
Cons: Plastic case not premium, Lack of apps, UI not for everyone, Some apps lack features,
Verdict: Will it be supported for long? Maybe not... but the superbly low price makes this a decent alternative to the Android / iPhone monopoly....
