Overall Expert Rating (3.7 Out of 5 based on 27 ratings)
Standing out in the ever growing crowd of droids is a tall task indeed. Doing so while keeping the whole thing affordable, is next to impossible. HTC – of all makers – somehow managed to achieve it, vastly improving the market prospects of their ChaCha, aka the Facebook phone. You wait all this time for one HTC Facebook phone, and two turn up. Hot on the heels of our HTC Salsa review last week comes this, the HTC ChaCha, also announced back at MWC 2011 in February and bearing the same dedicated Facebook key as its sibling. We can’t knock it for offering customers choice, but how will Android cope on the touch type device and will teenagers/business folk be keen to ditch their beloved BlackBerry for a ...
Pros: Looks great, thoughtful reworking of HTC Sense, runs smoothly
Cons: Some keyboard issues, battery life is pretty poor, some regular apps leave you little space to see what you are doing
Verdict: When thinking of the HTC ChaCha, it’s worth setting the “Facebook phone” elements to one side. The ChaCha is a more important device than just Facebook and if the button was removed, you’d still have all those features anyway....
Latin dances have inspired the names of both of HTC`s new social phones with Facebook buttons, hoping to draw some excitement and buzz from the vivacious Latin culture into these sociable smartphones. With our review of the Salsa being less than spicy,......
