  • Nokia Asha 302 review: E-serious
    GSMArena team
    10 May 2012 | gsmarena

The Nokia Asha 302 comes between the Asha 300 and the Asha 303 in Nokia`s updated featurephone lineup, but it doesn`t quite follow the numerical order. Although obviously not a smartphone, this S40 messenger is almost halfway there. It aims to bring good connectivity and more than reasonable processing power without unnecessarily complicating the interface. Touchscreen and dual-SIM support are the two extremes in the Asha lineup but the Nokia Ash...

Verdict: The Nokia C3 was (actually, still is) an immensely popular S40 QWERTY messenger. Back in 2010, it was a solid texting and social device for those on a tight budget, with Wi-Fi connectivity a big point in its favor. Fast forward a couple of years and ...

The Nokia Asha 302 is one of Nokia`s newest feature phones, created for the manufacturer`s numerous customers in the developing countries. This is a field where Nokia is traditionally very powerful, as its Series 40 platform offers an affordable, yet......

    Pros: Good build quality

    Cons: Poor user experience

Verdict: The Nokia Asha 302 is your standard Series 40 affair. It doesn`t have a touchscreen, but it compensates with a physical QWERTY keyboard, trying to appease those users needing such kind of input option. In terms of hardware, Nokia has done a remarkabl...

    31 Mar 2012 | wired

The Nokia Asha 302, with its old-school S40 operating system, modest camera, QWERTY keyboard and chunky shape is no hero handset. But it offers classic Nokia values for social networkers with a better than decent spec for a very reasonable price. It`s not the lightest or the thinnest, but it`s solidly built with a sturdy metal and plastic casing and fits comfortably in the hand with its gently curving sides. Full review...

    11 Sep 2012 | cnet

The Asha 302 is a handset powered by Nokia`s ye olde Series 40 operating system, but it could also be mistaken for a Symbian pocket rocket from days of yore. If not quite as premium-looking as the classic Nokia E71, it shares its distinctive domed keys. At between £70 and £90 on pay as you go, the 302 is cheap, but not as thrifty as the budget-tastic Asha 201. It does pack more junk into its trunk though -- with a 1GHz chip plus HSPA and Wi...

You’ve probably read a lot about Nokia’s Windows phones recently – but let’s remember that the majority of Nokia’s customers and would-be customers are still after basic handsets. So here comes the Nokia Asha 302, which runs on the Symbian Series 40 OS – that will be the grid interface that anyone who’s ever had a Nokia handset will be familiar with. However, Nokia has tried to bring it out of the basic m...

Pros:   : Budget web features; good battery life; push email and WhatsApp; comprehensive social app

Cons:  Costs as much as a smartphone; no multitasking   :

Verdict: The Nokia Asha 302 is a basic smartphone with good social and email apps – along with clever features to help you save money – although the pricetag on the phone itself isn’t that low...
