Display and Configuration
The Spice Dream Uno H Mi-498H poses a 4.5-inch IPS LCD multi-touch display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels (FWVGA) and a pixel density of 218ppi. It has a thickness of 9.1mm and can be held quite easily.
Under the hood, it is packed with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor sitting on MediaTek MT6582 chipset. Assisting it in executing multiple tasks is a solid 1GB RAM. For better management of rich graphics, there is Mali-400 MP2 GPU. It runs on Android v4.4.4 KitKat OS, and is covered under the Android One program by Google, which means guaranteed OS upgrades for next two years. Moreover, the handset is optimised for Hindi users with a range of apps including Hindi keyboard, Hindi UI, Hindi voice search support, and the Hindi versions of the popular Google applications like Search, Maps and YouTube.
Camera and Storage
The Spice Dream Uno H Mi-498H packs a 5MP autofocus camera at the back which supports LED flash, digital zoom, touch to focus and face detection. It is efficient in recording 1,080p videos at 30fps. The phone gets a 2MP front camera on board. It has an internal memory of 4GB expandable up to 32GB.
Battery and Connectivity
Fuelled by a 1,700mAh Li-ion battery, the Spice Dream Uno H Mi-498H claims to offer up to 17 hours of talktime and up to 160 hours of standby time. Connectivity wise, it supports 3G, GPS, Bluetooth v4.0, USB port and Wi-Fi.
The Spice Dream Uno H Mi-498H is a smartphone with an aim to cater Hindi-speaking consumers. Keeping its price in mind, it scores well in terms of configuration, updated Android platform and a pair of decent cameras.
